I feel theese games are incrediberley importnat, i am just waiting to leave to the reading game and I was thinking, theese 2 clubs are in the group of clubs from 3rd to about 9nth, beating them might get us a few positions higher and beginning to look at the group of clubs previesly mentioned, logic will tell us that all of them cant keep going as they are so there is no reason why we cant make up some ground. That will set us up nicley for January.

i think we have to win at least one of these two games. both would be totaly superb, win and a draw would be good for me. we cant be doing with more losses, especially at home. we win one and draw one if these games, and we will start to climb the table no doubt

We hammered Blackburn last year. Hopefully we're full of confidence now and can do the same again Smile

We just have to beat Blackburn to the weekend. We have no change against Chelsea (the next premiership game after Blackburn?)

Hope for this team versus Blackburn:

........................Given.......................

Nobby.......Taylor......Bramble.......Baba

Milner.....Parker....Emre.....Luque...

................Martins.....Sibierski..........

N`Zogbia have played, not exactly poor, but not that good, this season. He was much, much better last season. Hopefully, he will improve his form in January, or something...

Luque have still so much to prove, and when he first gets the change, he shows us that he have so much to offer the club. Unfortunately, he disappointet us all from the beginning. But he are playing good at the moment.
And Bramble have really been in topform lately. I dont know how he played against Reading, but he have been on fire for the last weeks. But, yes. Ramage is a good alternative too.

But as we all know, this is Roeders decision, and I think (hope) that he will pick out the right team.

Smile

I'd play that team Geordie Olav except as Tom said, would replace Luque with N'Zogbia.

It was my first match of the season and boy did I pick a good match to go to. I was sitting in the sir john hall stand and the atmosphere was excellent. We just about deserved to win though early in the 2nd half the way Reading were passing the way round us it was like watching Brazill apart from the final ball which they did have for the last 10 of the first half. A classic and strange match.

Newcastle started well and Sibierski missed a sitter heading a delicious Solano cross straight at Hanneman from no more than 6 yards. However momments later he made amends another teasing ball from Nobby and this time super sib made no mistake. 1-0 up and we were coasting Martins headed against the bar when he should have done better and on the follow up Sibierski was denied by Hanneman.

Then out of the blue a deflected Harper goal made it 1-1 and to be honest we got what we deserved as there was no tackles or closing down till solano did it and by then it was to late as hit it him and beat Shay to make it 1-1. From then on in the 1st half it was all Reading and Harper scored a agin and had it not been for 2 excellent saves by Shay and a trememndous header by Taylor we would have been 3 or 4 -1 down at the interval.

In the 2nd half as I say they started well and they must have had about 70% of the ball untill we got a penalty from where I was sitting it looked like a penalty but having spoken to some people who have seen it on TV it was a harsh call. However Martins cooly stepped up to make it 2-2. Then came another twist in a dramatic game Sibierski was played through and from the narrowest of angles he amazingly scored to give us the lead again only for a flag, now the same people Ive spoken to said it should have stood. So its 1-1 in terms of poor decisions.

Just when it looked as though we were going to drop 2 points as Sibierski was denied by an excellent save up stepped Emre who scored a stunning 25 yard drive to make it 3-2 with 5 to play. It could so easily have been 3-3 had Babayaro not made an excellent/vital defensive clearence towards the end of the game.

hich leads me on to my next point those fans who were booing Babayaro just above the sir john hall stand next to the away fans and also around the ground you people should be ashamed of yourself. I admit I have never been a fan of his but to single out 1 player in a black and white shirt and boo him is nothing short of disgraceful. You should banned from StJame's Park as you are not true Newcastle fans true fans get behind there side no matteer what the circumstances are.

Also other players I was didssapointed with were Milner Nzogbia and Taylor, he made 2 rediculously short back passes which almost cost us dearly.

Well done lads and hopefully we will continue our excellent recent form with a win at Blackburn on saturday. Butt was excellent and deserved mom he has had a tremendous season to date, also Emre for me played his best game for Newcastle and Sibierski was outstanding this man gets better and better and on another nigh he would have scored a hatric, he deserved more goals his all round play was exceptional. ell done Newcstle and the majority of there fans who made it a great atmosphere its just a shame some idiots started booing there own players. Them type of people dont understand football and how it works.

At least we are above the Boro and with a game in hand though we shouldn't be happy to settle for that we should be aiming for top 4 or top 6 we are only 9 points off 4th. Apart from Chelsea away and United at home on new years day (they are 2 games we can get results out of) we have a pretty kind fixture list on paper. bring on Blackburn.
