Best Match: West Ham 2-0

Worst Match: Sheffield United 0-1

Best Goal Scored: Martins in Europe

Worst Goal Conceeded: Too many

Best Player: Scott Parker

Worst Player: Albert Luque

Best Overall Moment: Qualifying for Europe

Worst Overall Moment: Sheffield United

Best XI: Given, Solano, Taylor, Moore, Duff
Milner, Parker, Dyer, Nzogbia
Martins Owen

Best Signing made: Sib

Biggest Mistake in the Transfer market: Huth, Bridge, Woodgate, Kuyt

The point at which you were proudest to be a Toon fan: Shearer’s Testimonial

The point at which you were deeply embarassed of the club (if any): Shepherd saying “you would be astounded with the top class people wanting to come to Newcastle

Best Home atmosphere: Shearer’s Testimonial

Best away atmosphere: Arsenal

Toon Pros of this year: Dyer coming good (so far), Europe, potential takeover!

Toon Cons of this year: Roeder is still not the man for the job, Luque and Duff not coming good

Overall Comment:
I can’t believe the decline of Damien Duff. It’s hard to think of any recognised players who have improved during their time with Newcastle. We need to buy sensibly and get the coaching right. Get Belgravia in with Hitzfeld!!!

Strongest 11 with all players fit would be
Given
3-4-3 formation
Taylor cb
Huntington cb
Moore cb
Duff lm
Dyer cm
Parker cm
Solano rm for home games for away games Milner
cf Owen
cf Sibierski
cf Martins

I think wth Sibierski up front and the pacey Owen and Martins running off him this would be lethal also with Dyers pace from cm Milner and Duff and Nobby on the wings not forgetting Charles either we have bags of attacking options. I would love to see the 3-4-3 formation used more often and when I am manager (hopefully soon) of a football club this is one formation that I will use a lot.
