Someone please tell me why Danny Murphy has not been included - and the point of having Peter Crouch in the squad!!!!!

I am a little bemused!

England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Austria (8 October) and Poland (12 October):

Goalkeepers: Paul Robinson (Tottenham), Robert Green (Norwich), Chris Kirkland (Liverpool/West Brom)

Defenders: Ashley Cole (Arsenal), Phil Neville (Everton), Luke Young (Charlton), Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), John Terry (Chelsea), Sol Campbell (Arsenal), Ledley King (Tottenham)

Midfielders: David Beckham (Real Madrid), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham), Alan Smith (Man Utd), Kieran Richardson (Man Utd)

Strikers: Michael Owen (Newcastle), Rooney_79586.shtml'>Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham), Darren Bent (Charlton), Peter Crouch (Liverpool).

WHERE IS SCOTT PARKER????

And why is Alan Smith and Keiran Richardson in there? Murphy and Carrick would be my picks.

For me its all about Click's and Clubs

Its a joke - i can see England getting maybe 4 points or even a disatrous 3 - there is a possibility they may get 1 or even none!

Then get Spain in a play off and go out - the pressure is higher that i think people realise!

This is not a certainty that they will qualify!

That would be disastrous, the World Cup just wouldnt be the same without England, who would lose on penalties at the crucial moment?

well it really would be amazing if we cocked this up and never qualified . I dont think we will . Smile

That would be terrible, both Spain and England should be at the World Cup! No question.

I totally couldnt believe it that Murphy and Parker werent in there. . . Smith in midfield ?!?!?! come on . . . and Richardson . . . who has been playing left back for Man Utd.

Proves that you must really play for Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, to get in the England squad.
