Heard a ITK rumour that Shearer is going to make a return to playing for the Magpies. He has been training with them a lot lately and they are pleading with him to help them out of the current crisis. Hes going to do it once he feels up to full fitness.


I would laugh so much if they wheel that old sod out! Laughing

He's a boring pundit now, so I'd be happy if he jacked that in and did something suitable, like selling cars

first of all alan shearer will not be returning..that is fact!
Secondly Shearer is MOTD best pundit..hansen and Lawro are derisory

haha couldnt agree more. shearer is a top bloke, and a good pundit. cant see him playing football again though, unfortunalty Sad

i think now that alan shearer has left the Newcastle team will play crap and they have so i would say bring him back 4 a couple more seasons

look at pavel srnicek hes came back for a few months to help with the goal keeping so you never know he could come back to help us at some point...

He is really going to be a help? Not he stayed 2 seasons to long he should have retired and we should have some forward thinking and brought in a replacement i.e. Toress or Ashton or someone like that. Instead he just stayed on to break Milburns record which I think is wrong. I wouldn't want him back as his performances in the last 2 years dropped a hell of a lot.
