Tis a pity. Would have rather played in pure fog in a Cup game, rather than have our fixture list congested even more in the most difficult part of the season.

Crouch would have played, and he wouldn't have been able to see the ground, so we'd have been safe at the back.

but he would have had an advantage with any high balls coming into the box , being able to see above the fog and all that ... Smile

Haha. That would be funny as hell. Imagining him keeping it up above the fog from defence to attack with his head.

Then again we all know what a good header of the ball he is. Rolling Eyes

Did you hear about the Notts County keeper who went out on to the pitch and the game was called off but he couldn't see a thing a thought Notts were really attackive so he stayed out all the second half without a clue it'd been cancelled

I remember that one Ash Laughing

It was a shame for the fans who had travelled a long way to see the game that it was called off.
I'd not travelled far, but my friend had come up from Essex. On the way to the ground a couple from Llanelli asked for directions.
At the ground, waiting for the players to arrive, we were chatting to someone from Carlisle and a couple from Wolverhampton.
It's a long way to come and not see anything.

Mind you, we'd not have seen much if they hadn't called it off Laughing

Well Wenger has put a mixed squad half expereienced half experimental :

2. Abou Diaby
4. Francesc Fabregas
5. Kolo Toure
9. Julio Baptista
15. Denilson
17. Alex Song
20. Johan Djourou
21. Mart Poom
24. Manuel Almunia
30. Jeremie Aliadiere
31. Justin Hoyte
32. Theo Walcott
33. Matthew Connolly
40. Henri Lansbury
43. Mark Randall
45. Armand Traore

I think Rafa will put a strong side and will win it.

Do you not think it's rather sad that you always rely on Liverpool losing to brighten up Everton's season? what does that honestly say about your team Billy?

Nothing really m8.... It's gone on for years. Ask any Liverpool supporter would they like to see their local rival team be relegated and the answer would be yes......

And this is only the mickey mouse cup.

So

COME ON Arsenal Razz

So here we are again, another Liverpool v Arsenal game and this one goes ahead this time.

Quote:
Craig Bellamy and Robbie Fowler return to the Liverpool side to spearhead their attack in tonight's Carling Cup Quarter Final clash with Arsenal at Anfield.
In other changes Lee Peltier, Stephen Warnock, Gabriel Paletta, Danny Guthrie, Fabio Aurelio, Sami Hyypia and Mark Gonzalez all start.

Liverpool - Dudek, Warnock, Peltier, Hyypia, Paletta, Gerrard, Guthrie, Gonzalez, Aurelio, Fowler, Bellamy. Subs - Reina, Garcia, Alonso, Carragher, Crouch.

So it he's gone with a few youngsters in there tonight, Im a bit surprised as he said our youngsters aren't as experienced as Arsenals last time this game was meant to be played. We have alot of experience and quality on the bench though.

The bench is very strong, and i'm glad he's playing Gerrard i honestly thought he was gonna rest him tonight, the team looks strong enough to me,Bellamy and Fowler looked good away against Galatasaray so i'm looking forward to seeing them two again..

Come on you reds.. Very Happy

What a poor display! The defence is everywhere, Arsenals fourth goal was offside though...Does it matter though? I predict Rafa will make two Subs at halftime, Alonso and Crouch probably.

We need some of that infamous luck that BlueNose talks about...
