hey just wondering as a keeper myself what sort of equipment is available for women i.e gloves, boots etc i mean spercifically designed for you women keepers/players?

i was surfing pro direct when i came across these little lovelies:-

not the best picture but i'll post the sports direct link!!
With the season 06/07 being the year of the Fifa Womens World Cup specialist Reusch
launch a specialist finger guidance glove.

With womans football now being featured on tv globally and growing at an incredable rate Reusch have identified the need for a specialist womens protection glove and have launched the Ortho-Sleek.

This outstanding new release has been made on a specialist womens cast, as mens gloves tend to feature a wider cut and a womans hand is narrower with her fingers being slimmer and longer in length. The Reusch Ortho-Sleek is offered to the keeper with a 3mm X-condition grip, this new German latex offers increased durability in all conditions without sacraficing grip.

The secret of the Reusch Ortho-Sleek lies in that the glove has removeable finger and thumb bones, offering the keeper customised finger guidance and lessening the chance of hyper extension of the fingers.

The back hand of the Reusch Ortho-Sleek has been
constructed in the white lycra improving flex and lightness, whilst anatomically postioned
grey and white lyrca is placed on the backhand to offer optimum backhand comfort.

Good find BB Cool Nice to see a make doing a special one for women Smile I haven't seen any keepers in them yet, though by the time the WC comes round I'm sure many will be sporting these Wink

As for boots, gloves etc. I know the 'Nomis' boots have made some specially desinged boots to fit women, as modelled by Arsenal's very own Ciara Grant and Jayne Ludlow:

Wink

I'm sure more companys will get involved like 'Reusch' as the Womens WC will be a good market place for them Smile

As for the boots you just posted, they were pretty ugly! Personally, never bought a womens fit boot, just stick with Nike Cool Look good and feel nice Wink

This site should do a poll on boots. blades or studs.
personaly i think blades should be banned. After 30 years in the game and now coaching, I have seen more knee and ankle injuries with blades in the last 10 years, than ever. The trouble is the young players want something that look good rather than the right foot wear for the conditions. Just my opinion, and yes we all have an opinion, just like spots.
