Barcelona head into the winter break three points behind leaders Sevilla after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Atletico Madrid.

Ronaldinho illuminated Camp Nou with another well-taken free-kick in the first half, but Sergio Aguero earned Atletico a point with a second-half equaliser.

Barcelona could have been in front as early as the second minute when Eidur Gudjohnsen's persistence created a chance for Deco, who shot straight at Leo Franco from the edge of the area.

Andres Iniesta volleyed wide as Barca dominated the opening exchanges, but Atletico's Antonio Lopez stung Victor Valdes' palms with a fearsome free-kick.

But a free-kick at the opposite end proved Atletico's undoing on 41 minutes as Ronaldinho curled his shot past the wall and beyond the dive of Franco.

The second half started in a similar vein, but Barcelona's inability to score a second goal proved costly on the hour mark.

Carles Puyol's attempt to play offside backfired and Aguero latched on to Peter Luccin's threaded pass to flick the ball past Valdes.

The champions responded with Thiago Motta heading over from close range when picked out unmarked by Deco's corner.

Substitute Santiago Ezquerro then dragged a shot wide after finding space on the edge of the box, but Barcelona were unable to conjure up a winner.

I watched the game, it was fairly entertaining, a good finish by Aguero.

Do you think that Sevilla have what it takes in the second half of the season to go on and win La Liga?

No way!
Dont forget that Eto'o and Messi will be back. You know if Eto'o was there, we would have beaten Atletico easily.
Ronaldinho is our best goal scorer, hahaha Laughing Laughing

it would be nice to see someone other than barca or real madrid win la liga and i think sevilla are fully equipped to do it. it'd be a different story if eto'o hadnt been injured and real keep losing their heads at vital moments but maybe this is what sevilla keep needing to happen if they have a strong chance of finishing top. I definitely wouldnt rule them out just yet but barca have so much quality its hard to see them not retaining their domestic title.

Ronaldinho's free kick was good though. Most people would of looked to have gone over the wall to the right side of goal. It would of been nice to close down the gap with the game in hand
