Good point! That's why I made an objection regarding the rating of Davids by Le General.
Maybe we can create another thread for objections. And with that, we can decide the appropriate rating by taking the average of all our ratings on the same player.

That sounds a bit to complicated and like more work than needed. What we need is people to be serious when they rate the players, than we have a legitimate poll. As of now, we have a couple of fine players that for whatever reason didn't get a legit rating, on the high end as well as on the low end. That doesn't say much for our poll.....

Hey - its also about opinion and i think he has now had it!

Its my view and i am entitled to it!

He deserves atleast a 5 just for the total effort and workrate he puts out for Spurs, you watched him play yet this year?

No - I never rated him - just a fit busy player for me!

Good on the ball, jinky in flow but never fancied him as world class - a kind of Robbie Savage!

Everyone's view may be different but i am not gonna lie to you and say that i personally think he's good, because as long as have played myself and watched the game i didnt rate him1

ZEIST, Netherlands, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Netherlands coach Marco van Basten has recalled Edgar Davids and George Boateng for the World Cup Group 1 qualifietrs away against the Czech Republic on October 8 and at home to Macedonia four days later.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Davids last played against Andorra in November last year and is called up to replace the suspended Philip Cocu.

That is unreal,Edgar Davids has only been called up as a replacement???

He will get a chance to prove himself. Before his move to Tottenham he was getting no playing time in Italy, so Van Basten didn't call him up. Van Basten has revamped the Dutch National team, calling up younger players to fill in for those older players that in the past were only chosen because of there past or there name (maybe some other National team coaches should take heed, hmmm).

It's pretty hard to argue with Van Basten’s current WCQing record, which happens to be the best in Europe, in which they are in one of the tougher groups.

This is not a knock on Davids, has still may have something to offer, we will see. The drawback is his fiery
temperament and his bookings that add up to missing games. Something the Dutch side cannot afford. But, he does have leadership.

hmm Bookings? Come on, he got through a whole game for Spurs recently without a booking, give the man some credit Was his 5th game tho!
