Bernard is in need of a operation that will rule him out for the season and it has been suggested that we will sell/get rid of him as they dont want to be wasting money on someone who will not play this season. Also i dont think Owen will play again as he has not played a full game in about a year. In that year he has only played half a game. If he does come back he wont be half of the player he used to be and will not be fit enough for the EPL.

when you said they will never play again i thought you meant their careers were over


well atm we are not mssing either of them. both their posistions have cover by 1/2 players in our sqaud. owen's return will be a huge plus for the club, but bernard isnt greatly missed right now.

Owen is coming back. I've heard He might even play this season towards the end. His operation was a success and the doc says he will be back to his best, when he recovers.

Course Owen is coming back he was on Soccer AM before xmas and said he was fine and hopes to be playing by the end of the season.

Honestly how rediculous a thread Michael Owen is well on his way back and he will recover and believe me he will be just as good as when he started at Liverpool rememebr Shearer all the drama about the operations and it just made him stronger and he came back and was better than ever. I hope we sign a left back (preferably Bridge he is not playing much at Chelsea) and get rid of Babayaro then give Bernard a new contract and he can be back up/competition for Bridge both IMO do and will have a future at Newcastle United football club.

he wont just jump straight back into football once he's nearly recovered. Owen will do light training, then build up the intensity until he feels ready to return. so when he comes back he will be almost 100%.

Well I am happy about this news.

He is tipped to come back 6 weeks from the end of season which is good news.
