According to his spokesman, Beckham is currently in talks about his contract with Real and might sign a new two year deal for "slightly more than he's currently on."

I think he should come back to England and play Laughing

Is he good enough to play Prem and what Prem team would want him?

From the BBC site...

Quote:
David Beckham will hold talks with Real Madrid next week over their offer of a new two-year contract.

The former England skipper is out of contract at the Bernabeu in June.

His spokesman, Simon Oliveira, told BBC Sport: "There is a significant deal on the table from Real. It's slightly more than he's currently on.

"They are the only club we are genuinely talking to at the moment and another meeting is scheduled for the second week of January."

yeh i dunno what he's going to do. Looks like he's going to be staying in Real i guess.
Who wouldn't want him, boost the t-shirt sales.
Seriously though, i think as each day goes by he gets older and older, he wont be back in the England national squad i dont think.

Anyway, i say hes not up to la liga standard or any other, hes good for free kicks, corners, and passes. Maybe a move to the prem could get his career back on targer. After all, that's where he's played most of his football. I'm sure he would still be up to the EPL style and would probably be better in the prem than la liga when it comes to outfield play (for in la liga his outfield play is dismal - goes missing for 90 minutes blocks)

He's only good for t-shirt sales, but then what else?

He dosen't even try anymore. I've seen him play, the only time he looks good is on his free kicks and even his passes aren't as good as they were. If he goes to a Prem team he won't last long with his lazy attitude. If he's a midfileder he should at least be delivering good passes, but he's not even doing that. Bottom line he dosen't try as much as he used to. He now relies on his image not his skills to get into teams.

It's a shame, I'd love to see him play for a different club. The only reason he's at Madrid is because of his pulling power anyway.

David Beckham's advisers will hold talks with Real Madrid over their contract offer despite claims that the former England captain is to leave the club at the end of the season.

An ambiguous reply by Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic to a question on Italian TV sparked reports that the club would not renew Beckham's contract.

Urgent communication between Beckham's camp and the club followed, and soon established that the offer was still on the table - though that is no guarantee the 31-year-old will be at the Bernabeu next season.

Sorry to say it but Robinho isnt good enough to start for us

Looks like Beckham has chosen for the money then. He's going to earn about 5 times as much as Ronaldinho, imo that's rediculous. That team has to sell more than 1 million shirts to get that money back, how are they planning to do that?

Beckham going to stick with Real
