0-2 Mad

Their first goal was offside. How was that allowed to stand. He has just standing in front of the keeper blocking his view as well.

What a pointless post and an idiotic fan you dont give Birmingham any credit and just cause our ground ws half empty we deserve no lose. Get a life. We were abysmal and got what we deserved Birmingham on the other hand were excllent and played at high tempo and with a purpose and they actually managed to retain possesion toon players tkae note. Great goal by Milner but that apart what a hsoddy display.

Peter Ramage must be one of the most hopeless and inept playrs to ever play for us. Ive said for ages he is not good enough I like Huntington and Taylor despite his poor performance but Ramage is to slow both with pace an slow to react. Also he passes the ball backwards most the time then when he plays it forward they get it back. That is the worst Ive ever seen solano play for us he was an absolute joke and its as if he wanted us to lose so he would be banned for the villa game.

Credit to Birmingham who on the other hand though were sensational Muamba and Mcsheffrey in the midfield as well as larsson were excellent and the front 2 with there pace were fantastic they were excellent all night. Also Ngotty what a finish that was.

I have no complaints what so ever with taylors dismisal which was the right call and also the referee IMO had a good game. We were shocking and there has to be a massive reaction come saturday against West Ham.

But to the West Ham fan that came on before by all means praise blues will you but stop acting the moron you deserve to lose because of the fans hat a load of crap matches are run on the pitch not in the stands Well done Birmingham and I wish you good luck for the rest of the tounament it should be a good tie against reading I think they might just edge it Blues.

Losing 1-5 at home to a side a division down is a sackable offence IMO...

The players better forget about that match, cause it was the stuff of nightmares.

Birmingham played extremely well...

Newcastle = shellshocked

I see Ramage just got slated there. Slightly unfair in my opinion. A player who will always give 100% and at times can be a solid performer!

Today he was left to look like an absolute donkey. Huntington or whatever his name is was awful. Positioning, covering, support, communication - he just looked lost and struggled to do the basics at times.

Ramage has no pace & was left stranded at times for the pacey Brum attackers to rip him to shreds. Same thing happened to Taylor when he got sent off.

McSheffrey was impressive, as was Sadler. But even more impressive was a certain Seb Larsson. Wink

The writing is on the wall. Magpies need consistency. No silverware? No wonder.

On Saturday the Magpies beat Spurs who had 23 shots on goal compared to their 4. Shay Given was awesome and out to impress upon his international team captain Robbie Keane. Spurs didn't play badly on Saturday by any stretch of the imagination, ok, Robbo had a day to forget but otherwise it was a game we should have won.

We made certain we'd not slip up today. What about you? Amazing and taking a team like Birmingham for granted served you right. shameful.

From a neutral perspective I found this game very entertaining to watch, and newcstle came very close to make it 2 -2 , then the whole red card and that goal off the set piece Birmingham kindof shifted momentum, and I feel it didn't really become lost until the 80 some odd minute, had Martins not put that shot straight at the keeper I think Newcastle would have been in it a bit more at the end.

Great result from a quality Premiership team, its easy to take these lower clubs for granted and think it will be a walk in the park but you gotta back it up on the pitch, especially playing at home. 4-0 is a great result and will really get the boys going now.... oh wait.... is this the Spurs v Cardiff thread?

how wrong you were jonesy eh .. Wink funny old game football , the same side that pulled off a great 3-2 victory against Spurs at White Hart lane at the weekend go down without so much as a whimper 5-1 to Birminghm at St James Park . I thought the following quote from Glenn Roeder after the match was rather funny `"We never recovered from going a goal down," he added. "I expected a much bigger response than there was - there was no response whatsoever." Smile Yeah Glenn ..so did the fans i would imagine .

It is a good job Newcastle are not in relegation trouble otherwise Glenn Roeder might have been in serious trouble right now ....

it was the same team but they must have left their performance at white heart lane.

to me, the performance was as a good as a league 2 team

NOT GOOD ENOUGH Newcastle!

Stop kep mentioning sundays game you lost fair and square and ypu deserved to with the amount of missed chances you's missed. The writing is on the wall LOL what a load of rubbish we lose 1 game and you say that.

Look at it this way we have loads of injuries are 2 league games unbeaten and we have climbed to 11th in the table. So its not all doom and gloom. Yes the critisism of Ramage is fair Ive watched him for ages and he is such a shocking player he lacks pace concedes to many free kicks he got away with some yesterday as he was holding the birmingham strikers at times. And he allways passes the ball backwards he cost us the first goal at least he was in possesion what does he do? Play a slow/lame pass straight to a Blues man and that cross leads to there opening goal. He is an absolute donkey and I hate watching players like him play in a black and white shirt. As he should not good enough to play for us IMO.
