Woooo a friendly against Scotland!
Where's Ljungberg though? Injured? |
No, Dennerby thought she needed some rest. "Hanna Ljungberg is intentionally left out - Dennerby thinks she needs to rest." http://dandal.webblogg.se/ |

What makes her more tired than let's say Westberg or Paulson
who play in the same club? |
Maybe something to do with Ljungberg's injuries? Well if they rest her at least someone else gets a chance
Hanna has an old injury at the back of her thigh, same one that was bothering her last season. She says she doesn't feel anything while running, but when she is about to shoot the ball. So they decided that she should stay at home and do rehab, give it a chance to heal up.

Ah, so it is about injury then. Thanks for the info
She can beter take no risk
i mean there are other things coming up this season like the uefa final and the world cup last season she was also injured long time bud that was most the fault of that stupid goalkeeper of france |

Now that Hedvig is out for the next six months, who will be the 2nd goalie?
Lundgren?
Not sure it will be Lundgren. She will get her chance, but I think Dennerby will let Söberg try it instead. Not that Lundgren is old and nothing for the future, but she hasn't really made it into the team. Think she has been trying a little too hard when she has had her chance. But now that she will play for AIK I'm sure she will get practise at least

what's wrong with hedvig? |

Hedvig has torn her ACL and will be out for at least 6months

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I read that no club team in Sweden is allowed to wear blue and yellow as it's the country's colours. I'm not sure if it just meant football.
Is it true? |

Sweden v Japan 12/02/07
Line up: 1 Caroline Jönsson, - 8 Frida Östberg, 4 Hanna Marklund, 2 Karolina Westberg, 6 Sara Thunebro - 20 Maria Karlsson, 5 Caroline Seger, 15 Therese Sjögran, 14 Josefine Öqvist - 11 Victoria Svensson [C], 13 Lotta Schelin. Subs: 12 Sofia Lundgren, 21 Carola Söberg - 3 Stina Segerström, 7 Caroline Näfver, 9 Therese Lundin, 10 Maria Aronsson, 16 Salina Olsson, 17 Frida Nordin, 18 Nilla Fischer, 19 Anna Paulsson. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr D has finally given Karro Westberg a shot alongside Maklund, I personally like Segerström and think shes been doing a good job but Westberg has been playing consistantly well and does deserve a run out. No doubt there will be a few subs. I would have prefered Marklund as the Captain, but what can ya do P.S: I like the midfield - 3 LFC players - nice to see Karlsson getting a run out too |

Japan are getting strong
First they beat Norway and now drew with Sweden And I agree - Marklund should be the captain, but it was easy to predict that someone like Svensson would be instead Anyway, good warmp-up Who's next? Scotland? |
Yep Scotland next - 17th I think.
I thought Svensson would get the captaincy because she has had it quite a few times before when Mostrom was missing, but I wanted marklund. Poor Frida without her two friends Mosan and Sjoa. I wonder what happened to Lotta - she went off at half time, maybe an injury; not likely to be taken off that early normally. Japan are midway through their season where as Norway and Sweden are just back from winter breaks (not even back fully yet, just training) so can't really rely too heavily on results at this stage in then season. |
Maybe they are saving Lotta for the game v Scotland?
No, that doesn't sound right. Maybe they are saving Lotta before the Damall season |
