After yesterdats disappointing result in the draw against Everton, Benitez said ''its hard when small teams come here and put all 11 men behind the ball.''
Everton then released a statement saying '' These words were unnessacary and that they expect more froma Liverpool manager and believe Rafa is part of a small minority if he believes Everton are a small club'' To me Rafa's words are 100% correct. Everton are a smaller club than Liverpool and we are expected to beat them regardless of form or if we have injuries to any of our players. The XI we put out should beat them at anytime. I don't think Rafa meant Everton are a small club i think he meant they played yesterday like a small club fighting relegation against a higher level opponent and riding the game out and hopefully getting a bonus point from a game they expect nothing. But yes i do believe Everton are a smaller club than Liverpool. |
