Newcastle United, are reportedley dertermined to snap up goal ace striker Andy Johnson from Crystal Palace. I think this would be a great signing for them. What do you think ?

Played well for Palace but i do not think he is of the class to replace Alan Shearer in the long term!

agree with the general , he may have scored 20 goals for palace but 10 of those were penalties.
He will have to score 25+ each season if he wants to be in the same league as shearer .

Not good enough for Newcastle!

He will again be a championship player next year! If someone takes him it will be a mid table side!

Newcastle asking for a striker like shearer is like united asking for a keeper like Schmeichel. not possible

true, but with the geordies behind him he could have another good season, but maybe 12-15 goals as The greatest modern striker Alan Shearer will take the penalties.

P.s: I am not a Newcastle Fan

if he went to a side where he got decent service he may score more goals from open play.

I dont think he is good enough for us.

He wouldnt score as many goals for us , theres only one man who would take our penaltys and thats big Al !
