From the FFF website :

There will be a triangular tournament between France England and Norway from the 10th to the 17th of February.
Apparently England will sent some of the fringe players from the senior squad there.
I think it is a good idea as any international game is always a good opportunity to learn, especialy in a World Cup year.

I'd give England 50% to win it,
Norway 35% and France 15% Wink

England have lots of talented young players, that's for sure.

U-23?! Laughing

It's good news for the fringe players who may be able to push for their places in the WC squad and give them some more experience Cool

I think it is a U21 tournament where you can have like 3 under 23 players registered.

It is the same rule for the Men at the Olympic games.

Hi!

I watched the game Norway - France at La Manga and Im going to watch Fridays match between France and England. Norway was the better side, but it was not a good game. Not many shots at goal and some bad play, but Norway with the ball posession. Defender Giske is a good player and striker Wiik is quick. I have no idea about England, how are they? Smile

Didnt watch the game, but a friend did. He said Norway dominated the first half and should have been up with at least 3-4 goals. England better in the 2nd, hit the bar twice.

France - England 1-0, scoring in the 2nd half. England missed a penalty in the first half.

Pretty even game with France as a little better than England. Both sides strikers were through and all alone with the goalie a couple of times but very poor finishing by both teams.

I would say Norway was better than both of them especially because of their way of handling the ball. The norwegian defense and midfield played calm, while the two others often rushed the attacks by sending long balls to the strikers. Some nice piece of play by England some times, though.
