I just remember the crowd going mad.
I did feel it but I'm not sure where it ended up."

Sad Its true...

Arsenal.com: 'Akers will be without defender Yvonne Tracy while Ludlow, Arsenal's Semi-Final hero, is struggling with a swollen knee suffered on international duty for Wales last week. She didn't train on Thursday night and, unless she gets through a session on Sunday, Akers will not risk her.'

Just hope she's ok for tomorrow! Cool

On my way home from yesterday's final, I listened out on the radio for mentions of the game, regularly changing stations, and during a long journey, only heard one mention of the result, and that was on BBC West Midlands.

So, whilst returning from the shops today, I was surprised to hear, even on BBC Radio Wales, mention of Cardiff Ladies' imminent promotion to the Premier League, and then they had an interview with Jayne.

She was asked about the final, in which she did eventually play of course, and she gave a lot of credit to the coaching and management for the success of the team.
When asked about the success of the Cardiff team she said how they were a young team who should develop well in the Premier League, and how she knew many of the players through the Welsh squad, and several of their players were Welsh internationals. [Note from Twmcat: Two Cardiff players started the recent Wales game v Estonia and a further 4 were named in the squad.]
She said it would be beneficial for the Welsh team for these players to have the opportunity to play against decent opposition more frequently, and so develop their games ready for playing in the Welsh team.
The interviewer mentioned that Arsenal had beaten Cardiff on their way to the FA final 4-1 or 5-1, and Jayne told her it was 4-1, and they gave Arsenal a good game.

Arsenal Ladies - they beat everyone, give the credit to the opponents even if they are crap,
credit each other, refuse to name just one star in the team, credit the management etc.
- how not to love'em? Cool

Thanx Twm!

Apparently Linköping FC (Sweden) are interested in Jayne (and Fara Williams)
and will be watching her at the UEFA Cup Final in Umeå, in April.

Fara will probably stay in England because of the upcoming World Cup
but Jayne doesn't have to as she is Welsh Sad Sad Sad
