By all means go for it kid!

But I strongly suggest you read through all the old posts that this "coaching" company has written over the past 12months! The responses don't seem quite as optimistic as you would hope, maybe, just maybe, they know something you don't!

chris whats your problem? yes we coach pre-school children but so what, is there a minimum age when you can learn football skills?

if you can walk, you can kick a ball.

you applied for this job previously and obviously felt it was too difficult for you to do. so there's really no need to respond to my posts.

Dont know the previous with Chris but I do know this...coaching 2-5 year olds is a creche, full stop. No way you will teach the vast majority anything worthwhile football wise, and I truly believe you should be focusing on general motor skills at that age eg throwing, catching, hitting, balance, running, movement, hand eye co-ordination.

Yes I have been there and done it, with a company called Enjoyaball. Yes I have looked after 3-6 year olds for 4 hours during a 5 day half term. Yes I earned £10/12 per hour for doing so. But I knewit was a creche, not skills development.

You think I previously applied for this job?

If you actually came on this board for reasons other than just the free advertising, you would know quite clearly that I'm currently working as a full-time coach and that I am absurdly over-qualified for this position! I don't mean to blow my own trumpet but just do your research before you make yourself look like a fool.

Yours in Sport,
Chris Shipley

I got a coachnig plan for your first day at work;
15mins stopping the kids crying because they miss their parents
15mins mud throwing
15mins playing with the cones you laid down
15mins running with the ball (probably in their hands)
END OF SESSION
15mins waiting for parents to collect kids from babysitter, i mean coach!

No but seriously,

Just listen to what people are telling you all, Ian and I are speaking from experience and are not on here just to have a go at you or wind you up! By all means if you need the cash then do it but it will not enhance a coaching CV one bit, it will not be looked upon favourably by potential employers in the future and will not help you learn how to coach in any shape or form!

Please just do some research on the subject before you agree to anything, we're only trying to help!

Probably anyone who applies for it - otherwise you wouldn't advertise for new staff so often and desperately.

Well done icuk, you are no fool, in fact I must say you are very creative! You clearly must have a lot of spare time on your hands to completely invent job applications. Maybe you should concentrate on the genuine applications a little more and then you wouldn't be spamming this 'coaching' forum prying on 16 year old boys to come work for your creche!

Oh dear Darren, That is the silliest thing you could possibly say!
I'll definately be thinking of you (with a large grin on my face) when I pick up this months wages from playing semi-pro football! Laughing

Oh I see cshipley your a semi-pro footballer now are ya? Not a coach at Villa's academy? Sorry I seem to be misguided by the bull you have been writing. Oh by the way, SEMI-PRO is that because your not good enough for pro? hmmmm Bye Bye!!

Will you ever stop digging this hole? Rolling Eyes

Your lack of knowledge is evident! Semi-professional players are only part-time so YES I play semi-pro and YES i coach for the academy at Aston Villa! I train once a week for my club on a night that I do not coach! Simple!

err YES the reason I am semi-pro is because I am not good enough to play professionally but is that not the reason every semi-pro is not playing full-time for a living? If I could give up my role as a coach to play full-time I would but I didn't make the grade along with 99.9% of the population!

I await your reply, no doubt you will keep digging this hole you find yourself in! I catagorically love the way you try a come back and make yourself look stupid! Just like your last post in fact!

couldn't agree with you more Floody.

Hence the reason I messaged a few moderators earlier on today to "review" the list of allowed posters on the coaching forum. I'm afraid it is becoming a breeding ground for childish teens to cause needless arguments and it is repelling genuine coaches who come on here to help each other out, seek advice or share ideas with like minded people.

Maybe thats the reason why coaches such as myself go elsewhere, which is a shame in all honesty. Hope the mods sort it and it improves sooner rather than later!
