Some of The Fabregas antics in this game were a disgrace yet again. Five minutes to go and his face is merely brushed but he goes down like he's been shot. and then he has a go at Lampard. Sore loser..... |

Arsenal are bad losers. Brilliant footballers, but disgraceful when things go against them.
Funny how at 1-1, both teams show respect for each other. Everyone loves everyone. Then as soon as Drogba scores and Chelsea go in front, you see Fabregas holding his face after a stray hand hits his upper chest, rolling about on the floor like a Mafia hitman just took him out. As for the events at the end, it says it all. Bad sportsmen losing their rag again, Toure, Fabregas and Adebayor in particular. Another thing; does Wenger have a fetish for fourth officials? Whenever the cameras roll on him nowadays, he seems glued to the touchline official, always barking sweet nothings in his ear. See Henry moaning at Makelele at the end? Why? Always fcukin moaning. The game itself; Walcott played well, I'm happy for him after the stick he started to receive. Exquisite finish after a sublime move. Arsenal played the better football in general but total credit to Chelsea. What fantastic resilience they have. Lose an early goal, outplayed for large chunks, lose their skipper (again), and yet still manage to find a way to win. That's the difference between a brilliant side and a brilliant footballing side. Finding a way to win. |

I swear I saw a tooth go flying after his boatrace got kicked. Such bad luck. Surely Diaby should have got carded for that? You can't be allowed to kick that high in the air. |

I think Wenger must be Regretting not having Henry even on the bench, There was no logic to it for me.
I know he was sticking to the players that had got them this far but this was a final. |

If Chelsea lose Terry for an extended period of time after this then you could say that the Carling Cup is costing them their chance to scrap for the league because without Terry Chelsea are more beatable. It was sad to see Terry in that condition but deep down as a United fan, I was thinking about how this will benefit us.
A side note, Andriy Shevchenko's pace is non-existent, he looks a shadow of his former self. |

Did I say it wasn't? Idiot. The same way players are allowed to slide in for the ball on the ground, it isn't allowed in the air is it? Karate kick diving in mid air? No, because of the potential of dangerous head injuries. Even though it was accidental, it was reckless and dangerous. |

I was thinking exactly that mate. Well done to Chelsea. They certainly didn't play the most attractive football, but their spirit saw them through and they took their chances well. I really wasn't sure what to make of the JT incident. I mean, I know it was an accident and all - he obviously didn't kick him in the face on purpose, yet surely it was a very high foot which resulted in a clumsy challenge? For me, it could have quite easily been a penalty and I wouldn't have been surprised. Hopefully he'll make a quick recovery, for England's sake, if not Chelsea's. I was amazed at how that confrontation erupted near the end and I thought that the Ref dealt with the matter quite well under the circumstances. He gave cards for the incidents which he saw and then took the advice of the linesman for the other decisions, which was all he could do. I'm not sure whether the linesman got it quite right - I need to see it again really. Judging by the reaction of Adebayor, I started to think that he may have been innocent after all although he was certainly in the thick of it. An exciting game for a neutral but not necessarily for all the right reasons. I'm sure that we'll be hearing a lot more about it in the coming days. |

It was good to see the linesman giving the Reff a bit of back-up for once. |

Yep, and nice to see Mourinho get stuck in and give the Ref some back-up as well. |

Good news; looks like Terry has left hospital already.
http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=450657&CPID=2&clid=8&lid=2&title=Terry+injury+fears+allayed&channel=football_home& He must be some kind of Superman, getting all these knocks and recovering quickly. Incredible. |

In the context of football, JT's injury was certainly very serious. When you think about it though, boxers are frequently getting knocked out, yet they're usually up and about a few minutes after the incident.
Please don't get me wrong here; I'm in no way implying that JT overreacted or that the medical staff were being too cautious. I'm just saying that I'm sure we all have a different reaction to a person being knocked out, depending on the sport/arena. I was certainly more concerned about JT that I usually am when I see a boxer go down. Just an observation. |

Wow certainly sounded like an entertaining and eventful game on fivelive. Saw th highlights of the goals and the ruck on the news. Disgraceful behaviour but great to watch you have to admit! Terry's injury was a sickening impact but obviously no intent from Diaby and i think it was more a case of a stooped head than a raised foot. Fair play on the Arsenal players who stayed with and apparently tried to help Terry though. Apparently Bridge has come out after the game and said that Adebayor was the wrong man!

Mate, two words.....Boxing gloves. They are there to make sure that although the boxer is taking a heavy blow, it is cushioned somewhat to take away from the affect of a blow. If there was no gloves then you would see nearly every knockout, being that they don't get up and medics rushing in. Nobody gets straight back up from a straight boot to the face. |
