aaah didnt know that about his connection to england makes a bit more sense now i wondered why it was Arsenals physio and not Chelseas attending to him

Apparently he was the nearest to the incident, as he'd just been sorting out Almunia, then saw that urgent treatment was required.
No decent physio would say "It's not my team".

Exactly Twmcat.

Everyone feared the worst once they saw Terry hit the ground & his eyes slope to one side of his head. Almunia claimed on Arsenal.com today that he feared Terry was dead!

So there was huge concern from all players, officials & staff. Lewin ran faster than Henry has all season, just to give him some treatment.

I think those guys don't get enough credit for what they do either.

1. Was Drogba offside? No, he was in line with the defender. benefit of the doubt is given to the attacker in times of uncertainty

2. Did Adebayor, our chance of equalising get sent off for doing nothing? he raised his arms in the scrap but aside from that how about blaming eboue for that instead of the referee or linesman. could eboue not own up?

3. Was Adebayor onside when he went one on one with Cech? to be then ruled offside? to be quite honest i dont remember that incident. i dont recall him being 1 on 1 so i wont comment on that

In summary i will just say i do not think you were "robbed" in the slightest and you just sound bitter and childish. Arsenal played well for most parts of the game but just had no answer to robben and drogba. quite simply they were not good enough for Chelsea

Drogba was offside!! The shad of the pitch could tell you that.

The officals admitted they sent off the wrong player but the F.A have still charged Adebayor with failing to leave the pitch. So wrong........again Steely.

And if you can't remember parts of the game how can you be trusted to comment on the above!?!?

I can't be bothered anymore because it's finished and Chelsea won.

Well done Chelsea.

the offside/onside decision on Drogba , the analysis on Sky Sports with all their fancy technology showed the shading of the pitch and the line .. indicating that the back foot of Senderos was level with the nose/head/chest or front/back foot of Drogba , therefore as Drogba was attacking the current rules state that if he is level he is onside .

Another one involving Drogba and Senderos a few minutes later was given offside and was virtually identical ....thats football though .

Yup, well said again Conner. For me, Drogba was just offside. Had that been Baptista at the other end, I'd be screaming for days if it was given offside.

For me, the linesman got it right and because it was so tight I'll actually praise him. Well done man!

i just remembered from The Sun on monday , the reporter mentioned that there was just one thing that cost us the final ......Philippe Senderos . He said that he simple cannot handle speedy forwards and has been a liability for the last few seasons . He also cannot understand why Arsene Wenger keeps playing him ...it was evident against Chelsea last season when Drogba was up against Senderos ...again he was exposed as not good enough . He said if Arsene Wenger had played William Gallas in the final then he had little doubt that Arsenal would have won .

I remember Gallas had been pleading with Wenger to play him in the final as it would give him a chance to get his form and fitness back ...i dont think he would have let that cross land at Drogba`s feet for the equaliser .

Gallas? Who cares? He didn't play a part in reaching the Carling Cup final, so he didn't deserve to start and I'm glad Wenger ignored his cries for a start.

But for me, Johan Djourou is a better Defender than Swiss Tony and should have started. Look at my original post in this thread, I picked the team that Wenger picked with the exception of Djourou instead of Senderos. Here is where I feel Wenger made a mistake.

Djourou is faster, better under pressure, a better decision maker, better with his feet, good distribution, excellent at marshalling and a great tackler. He's decent in the air, but this is the only part of the game that Senderos beats him in. Senderos is good in the air and when playing a team who hoof long balls into the box, Senderos can be brilliant. But put some pressure on the lad and he will struggle and mistakes will be made. Sure everytime someone beats him for pace (which is often) he always does something daft to get booked, sent off or give away a stupid freekick or penalty. Look how he dived in front of the PSV man to handball the ball away from him last week.

As I said, Djourou should have started. Wenger should have listened to me. Smile

read connors post because i can not be bothered to repeat something already said.

how am i wrong on the adebayor incident? read what i said. adebayor was thought to be eboue. as i said. could eboue not own up? he knows he did wrong. but anyway, adebayor can clearly be seen raising his arms. although not punching as claimed, they should still not be near an opponents neck/head. was a harsh sending off of course but he certinaly didnt "do nothing"

i cant remember parts of the game because i was watching it at my flat with mates and as i didnt give a sh*t about the result i didnt exactly concentrate throughout the 90 minutes and with beer breaks and pi55 breaks inevitably missed some of it. as usual i only comment on things i see/know about. you on the other hand talk complete b*llocks about anything and everything

Just a side note, I'm pretty sure I have said in the past that sendarous is pants, but not many people accepted that and especially not Arsenal fans (why would they, oh that’s right they are now), but now it is clear for everyone to see how horrendous he is as a player and even worse as a defender.

Senderos was lot better last season and has gone backwards since.
On another matter I find it very funny the war of words between the FA and Wenger
