Sevilla 2 - 1 Barcelona

Can't believe there wasnt already a thread on this anyway, what a cracking match. Sevilla were fantastic totally deserved the win. There easily the best team in Europe on there day. And the performance from Dani Alves in particular was just class he has to be up there with the best players in the world right now.

Though times ahead for Barcelona tho, the game took alot of them physically & mentally with Liverpool during week & then Madrid next weekend its going to be do or die for Barca.

Great game, easily one of the best ive watched this season. Sevilla were superb especially as they had 10 men for most of the game. Dani Alves was great on the right, caused havok for the full 90 minutes.
Sevilla looked shaky at the back but it was a makeshift back two and they did well overall.

I still cant pick anyone out for the title, with Valencia winning too its just too tight to call but that has to give Sevilla a huge boost

Sevilla could have made it 5 in the 5 added minutes that Kanute sitter was shcoking i thought he had scored.

Good game though.

Only saw the 1st half but Roni's penalty miss changed the game. Score and the game is dead. Cruise for the rest of the game, and rest players. By him missing, it gave their players and crowd a lift.
Daniel Alves is a fantastic footballer, I like his mentality. Even when they were a man down, his head never dropped and he was a non stop menace.

the game was the best on telly this year - absolutely amazing

end to end and the ball wouldn't stop - both goals were good ut the penalty miss changed the face of the game

Well done, Sevilla. I'm a bit surprised you british people like Alves, considering you always blame divers and cheaters. Alves is one of them. I don't doubt his quality though, he's definitely one of the best.

But Alves is a great all round player - if you look at Ronaldo he dives but he's still an amazing player

We were that close to snatch him, though before sevilla got him.
