It looks like it could be Jens last season at Arsenal unless he signs a contract soon. If he doesn't then who out of the following (who have all been linked to Arsenal the past few months) would you like to be Arsenal new number 1 keeper?

Jaaskelainen
Akinfeev
Boruc
Craig Gordon
Hilderland
Scott Carson
Almunia

jaaskeleinen - is pretty good but i dont think Bolton will sell him
akinfeev - is my choise - hes young, talented
carson - is good but not enough
boruc - not good enough i think hes poor about corners
gordon - who the hell is he?
hildebrand - i think he was better 2-3 years ago.
almunia - are you joking? yes, thats right he made a big progress but hes still just number 2

Keeper Jens Lehmann has extended his contract at Arsenal for another year.

The Germany international's deal with the Gunners was set to run out this summer but he will now stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2008.

would love akinfeev to come to Arsenal though, would suit the young up n coming team we seem to be building

Finland - Poland 0:0

Very boring match, but good opportunity to see two potential new goalkeepers. As a Pole I hope Wenger really wanna buy Boruc, but I have to say that Jaaskalainen is good goalie too. Confrontation of those two didnt give me an answer whos better - they both played well. Boruc saves in impossible situations, but sometimes he lacks of concentration. Jaaskalainen skills probably better balanced. But still Boruc is better choice to me.

But I think if Fabianski will be given a chance, he gonna make use of it and take the place in our goal.

Almunia is doing a great job at the moment. So he's got my vote right now. However, I think Fabianski will take the reigns in the future.

What Lehmann has done for Arsenal since his arrival in 2003, particularly in the last two seasons has been nothing short of excellence, and i still feel he still has the talent to keep on going for another 2years.
Ok he's been liable to a few mistakes down the years and perhaps doesn't have the sharpness that he once possessed two or three seasons ago, but to hear such an inspirational asset to the Arsenal squad feeling victimised and forget doesn't do our team morale any justice.

Having said that it pains me to say, personally i think Lehamnn's days at the club are numbered and perhaps it may be best for him to finish the remainder of his career in Germany were he's most happiest and to keep alive his hopes on maintaining the German number 1 spot.
