Middlesboro Vs Manchester United |
|
Ok the title says it all, and you guys know what needs to be done.
I think we should win this; maybe another smash and grab Henke's last last every match (correct me if I’m wrong). Is the script written for a leaving brace and semi qualification? Are going to two wonder goals from Rooney again, it Ronaldo going to get fouled in the box again What do the rest of the forum think let me and the others know over to you guys. |

I wonder what the odds are at the bookies for the amount of dives Ronaldo will make in this match.
I might bet 4 in the first half and 3 in the second with 1 in the box. |

I tip Middlesborough to win this for some strange reason.
United are playing sh*t at the moment and there's only so long you can churn out wins like this before you come unstuck, like when Chelsea finally drew 2-2 after those 3-2 wins earlier in the season. United have a few injuries building up, and Scholes is suspended. Boro are in decent form and didn't play in midweek so they are fresher. I expect a tightly contested affair at the very least. I'll go for 2-1 Boro. |

As said in my massive rant in post 3 of this thread
http://forum.football.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=25220 Which is what leads me to say, BORO for an upset over Man Utd Tonight. heard it here first. Now why i think, it is because i think this is the banana skin Man Utd are going to slip on. Although, for sure id trade this in for a prem lost, i dont see Man Utd winning this. Not saying i dont want them to as then they will just focus on prem, lol. naa jk. My honest opinion boro to win, who im going for, well not sure, dont care too much - boro because i tipped them, then, and because of the aussies abroad involved. |

It's not like putting a revelation out there, people aren't suddenly going to 'Oh my god, Dem got it right!!'. It's no secret that Boro are our banana skin, the last 10 matches head to head in all competitions between our 2 sides have result in 5-5 in wins. It's pretty obvious that it's always a tie that threatens to go either way so you're hardly making groundbreaking predictions here.

Well, a decent match for the neutral and it was on a knife edge for huge periods of the match with end to end stuff. Suppose it's not too bad as we've had a big match midweek and Middlesbrough had a rest, we'll take them at the replay at Old Trafford in my opinion. The best team won. |

Good game, United played a lot better than recently, but this time they didn't win. Funny how football works. Their defence looked a bit suspect at times, especially from crosses. Well done to Boro for turning the match around. United very rarely let leads slip away so credit to them for that. People might say the penalty was harsh, but you see them given all the time, and Rooney was pushed over in the box a few minutes earlier so they deserved a spot kick, in my opinion. Either side could have nicked it in the end. Enthralling stuff. Chelsea will be happy that United now have to replay this game. It's one extra fixture to fulfil, hence one extra problem for them. We're at "squeaky bum" time now in the season, and these "unnecessary" games can take their toll. Every little problem they have helps, from a Chelsea point of view. |

Neither team won, they both matched eachother and nobody deserved the victory
You mean like the Tuesday night match against the Europe XI for instance? |

Yeah I heard about that. Why couldn't they arrange this game when the season is over? Imagine if Ronaldo's running for the ball with Puyol, and the Spaniard takes him out? Or Ronaldo's hamstring goes? I don't think United would appreciate the charitable nature of this game too much!

I know, I was bored with the other avatar so I looked for a Steve Nicol picture.. I think that's him in the background.

Johaldo - I agree Tez - remember that Stevie G and Carra are playing as well. Its just as easy for them to get injured as it is for us. Is the game on the telly? |
