George Burley No Longer Manager of Hearts - Breaking News

There has been rumours of an uneasy relationship between Burley and Hearts major shareholder Vladimir Romanov, and today Burley has sensationally parted company with the club who are currently sitting top of the Scottish Premiership. It is yet to be confirmed whether Burley has resigned or been sacked, however Hearts should be making a statement around 1800 BST.

What does this mean for Hearts?
Can they keep up this amazing start to the season without Burley?

Bobby Robson has not ruled out becoming the next boss of Hearts. He turned the job down before Burley was appointed, however he now says circumstances are different. They would certainly be getting a great manager in Robson, and this could be a great way for him to finish his Managerial Career in style.

I think it is an absoulte disgrace that Burley got the sack and I hope he goes to another club and show Romanov he has made a mistake

its because Romanov and Burley didnt see eye to eye. Romanov tried to sign players Burley didnt want. and any player Burley wanted wasnt allowed. So basically Burley was being treated like a puppet. so thats why he left

Yea Romanov was doing what continental clubs do, basically the role of a sporting director signing players and telling the manager to use them.

Camazolla was a prime example Burley didnt even see a video tape of him play, but was told that he was being signed and thats that.

Thats why if the bring in a new manager he will be foreign this time, Nevio Scala was linked last time someone like him. I would be suprised if the opted for Sir Bobby.
