I don't think we should rush any signings, but here are some definite possibilities...

Mathieu Flamini - Wants out of Arsenal, a utility man, his versatility would be key considering the injuries we get..and he played under Wenger and alongside Henry, Fabregas and Vieira..he would be great.

Gareth Bale- May not come necessarily cheap, but just like with Rooney, its an investment in your future..should be regarded as a must buy! Far superior to Babayaro..

Giles Barnes- We could do with an injection of pace and young blood in the team, he would add extra flair and play making ability, one for the future too..

Nikola Zigic - The big Serbian has been amazing in Spain this season, his size would compliment either Owen or Martins, would bring a little of Shearer back to the team!

We have just announced £6.9Million lost and there is planned 300Million improvement to St. James park to take the stadium up to at least 60,000 with hotels and apartments too.

Under those conditions I can't see too many expensive buys. I'd like to see another strong centre-back.

That's exactly why Shepherd can't fart arse around if he is going to sack him. If he's going to bring in a new manager bring him in as soon as the season finishes so we can start planning our transfer targets. No point in bringing in a new manager two weeks before the season starts and we're forced to 'panic buy' like so many times in the past Rolling Eyes

i think onyewu and taylor is a pretty strong partnership. both big strong players who are good in the air.

the two priorities are right and left back. and it looks like we are going to sign 32 year old left back erol bulut.

i said somewhere else, i think we ned to sign players with a bit of experience and age atm, our squad is too young imo.

Heres some signings I'd love. I hope we dont sign Zigic and also Flamini who is average at best, Inter milan want him alledgedally and they can have him as far as I am concerned.

defenders I'd like us to sign are
rb Miguel
lb Bridge
cb Woodgate and Upson/C Davies/ Distin

cm Sidwell replacement for Emre (the hapless Turk must leave, he concedes to many free kicks/possesion his set pieces are crap and he dont create or score enough goals as thats what he is supposed to do)

strikers we need one more (preferably a target man) the ones that I would love to see at the club are either Viduka, Ashton and darren Bent.

The players that I would like to see sold are Emre Babayaro Carr Bramble Moore Ramage. I think we should keep Taylor Huntington and Bernard defensively and sign 4 of the 6 I mentioned above (defenders that is).

Think Nelson, Luisao, Sidwell, Giles Barnes and Zigic would be great. I agree he has done amazing in Spain but Owen/Martins could work if we had a good ball playing midfielder like Riquelme to play through balls.
Also Bale would be good but would cost abit. Think Barnes and Sidwell are definetes though.
