Ive been away all week so ive only seen the results now although I found out the harps score, I think were out of the promotion race already..I havent see us play yet this season but my mate was a the game last week and he said they were really poor so its not looking good Sad

Great win for Cork again, theyre really starting to score freely now, O'Donovan scored yet again. Its a shame theres no international game coming up soon cause Id love too see him given a chance with his current form.

O'Donovan - Yeah i have heard a lot about him. I am not trying to sound disrespectful or sort of snobbish here but given our recent transfer history and ties with Cork City will they begrudge us taking a look at him? Too soon yet? Or is he destined for bigger things than Reading do you think?

Well Wigan put in a 500k bid for him in January and it was rejected and O'Donovan said he wanted to stay with Cork for now but I wouldnt be surprised to see Reading go after him because of your links with the club. I doubt it he would go to a top club, probably a mid table Prem club or one of the top Championship clubs I would guess.

Well i certainly cannot complain about the players we have received these past couple of years. Doyle is just simply outstanding - Pace, Power, Strength, Speed and great goalscoring ability. Long has played well when required his season and has certainly not looked out of his depth in the Premiership and i believe has a big, big future at Reading. Bennett has not featured as of yet, due to a lack of match fitness but i am confident he is another sound investment. It just seems so wrong of us though, players like Doyle really start to develop with Cork and we just swoop in there and take them away. But that is football i suppose, and i am certainly not complaining about the performances they have given. Great that both Doyle and Long are full Irish internationals now.

Theres plenty of good quality players in the league that never get looked at, Reading, Sunderland & Wolves and a few Scottish teams are the only teams that ever seem to look at the league yet nearly all the players they buy seem to do well.
People like Joseph Ndo of St Pats who won player of the year last year and has 30 odd caps for Cameroon deserves a chance in England and theres planty more like Mark Quigley & Kevin Deery who are tipped to be future internationals. Quigley has probably been the best player in the league so far this year and id expect him to be playing in either the Premiership or Championship this summer
