Unlucky Spurs. Smile

Battled well, but not enough class to break down a better football side in Sevilla.

A few pointers:

    1. The Ref was really poor and had he not have been half-blind tonight, Spurs could have had many more chances to score.
    2. Zokora & Jenas were the weak spots. Zokora has pace & good agility but doesn't know how to utilise it. He runs, runs, runs and gets nowhere - ending up rolling over for a freekick or simply losing it. Jenas is dire. And when Keane & Berbatov were constantly making great darting runs, showing for the ball throughout the entire game yet not even receiving a decent pass into feet from the two Central Midfielders. Hugely frustrating, to be honest.
    3. Defoe is embarassing.

I missed the first goal as I was driving home from work, just caught the second goal. Wanted to sit down and enjoy a great game of football but it was already over before I've sat down.

Malbranque is a motherfcuker. Sh*t player at this level. I've never rated him good enough for Spurs anyway; he's got some pace and a decent shot, but his overall play is erratic. Doesn't know when to lay the ball off. Decision making. And as for that first goal, that is absolutely scandalous. It would even look out of place on my Sunday league, it was that bad. He left his position on the line, and totally missed the ball with his "best" leg, only for it to hit his back leg and fly into the opposite top corner. C*nt.

As for the rest of the game, it played into Sevilla's hands. They looked classy because they got a "free" goal to boost their confidence, just like in the first leg with the "penalty". After that we were rattled. We gathered some momentum towards the end of the half but the ball wouldn't go in.

Second half we upped the tempo and controlled the play, and should have had a penalty ourselves but that bald fcukface referee turned it down.
Berbatov and Dawson both should have scored but it was too little, too late.

We've done pretty well in the cup competitions this season, but every time we've met a very good side, we've lost. We're good but not good enough, I guess.

We just got to focus on the league now, must finish in the UEFA Cup places as a minimum. Is 4th spot totally out of the question, given Arsenal's poor form?

There should have been a penalty kick for Tottenham on the intrusion of Zokora and a red card too for Poulsen who had walk on the head of a Tottenham player. Confused

He was inside the post I thought Conner?

Agree J Axe, with competent refereeing over the two legs I have no doubt we would be through to the semi finals now. Is that too much to ask for?

RC Lens, im really hoping that Poulson guy didnt mean to stomp on JJ's head, but by his actions after he did it (ie pretending he didnt notice hed done it, and just looking the other way made me think he did) Only once he found out the referee didnt see the incident did he show concern for JJ.

And what about at the same time the Sevilla player who went into the crowd runs back on the pitch then goes down injured? Sameful.

Best part of the night tho was the Spurs ballboy who ran onto the pitch and spotted the ball for the Sevilla goalkeeper to stop him wasting time. Classic!

i don't see the first leg but in the second leg the referee was for Sevilla. Because Tainio had made a similar fault like Poulsen and he had a red card and Poulsen not. Confused

Mate, that referee was a godsend for Spurs compared to the one in the first leg. I honestly think they guy should be investigated as I dont think he could be that terrible by accident.
