How good is Freddy Adu, the prodigy of American soccer? Good enough that Ellinger (who helped develop U.S. World Cup stars Landon Donovan and DaMarcus Beasley) says Freddy could play in MLS right now, at age 13. Good enough that one MLS coach predicts he’ll start for the U.S. in the 2006 World Cup -- when he’s 17, the same age that Pelé was when he made his Cup debut. Good enough that some people have questioned whether he’s really 13. And good enough that Inter Milan, one of the world’s most storied clubs, offered Freddy’s family a six-figure package to oversee his development, an unprecedented show of interest in a U.S.-based youngster.
In my opinion, at such a young age i can see him developping into a star. You can just imagine it now, Manchester United in 5 years...Roney....Ronaldo.....Adu (mouth watering in background...) |

He is definatly one of the best talents around at the moment maybee even ever! Top clubs have tried to get him before but the family wouldnt move and even if they did he doesnt have enough international experiance to get a move to britain so he would modt likly go to holland like DaMarkus beasley.
Freddy Adu scored a goal in DC Uniteds 3-1 win over columbus crew on saturday. This lad will get a big move in the future, for sure! |

unfortunately as we have more and more tv and media coverage there seems to be one too many boy wonderkids turning up from every continent most of which never really develop into anything more than squad players. luk at the bulgarian rooney? set to be the new pele last year , useless this serie A campaign .. freddy adu is 14 now, he is playin with grown men and that deserves applaud if nothing else, he cudnt come to england anyway due to fact FA say if you are in full time education then u cant play professional football...which is why darren fletchers debut was delayed..LOL
