so, the 2nd leg will soon be upon us and it is set up brilliantly!

what do you see happening? Will those 2 away AC MIlan goals be to much for United at the San Siro or will United pull off another good result?

I think it all depends on our starting lineup. If we have the same defence as last week we are as good as out in my opinion.

how do you see United shaing up for this one then? its a tough one i think cos you have it in the back of your minds that a draw will do, but that is not the United way. They will surely go out with the intention to attack, as with the current defensive problems, attack is surely their best form of defence.

If i were Fergie, i would have Fletcher constantly marking either Kaka (their biggest threat) or Guttuso (who supplies the biggest threat)

Here's how I see Fergie playing the team if Rio is fit enough.......

------------------------VDS---------------------------

O'Shea------Brown---------Rio--------------Heinze

--------Fletcher--------------------Carrick---------
----------------------Scholes-----------------------

Ronaldo----------------------------------------Giggs
-----------------------Rooney

If Rio is out......

------------------------VDS---------------------------

Fletcher------Brown---------Heinze-----------O'Shea

------------Carrick--Scholes--Giggs--------------

Ronaldo----------------------------------------Rooney
-----------------------Smith

It will definitely be 4-5-1, I'm sure. I think we can do it at Milan, I won't be totally surprised if we do get overrun and put out because we have a makeshift defence and we are away but I still think we can hold on.

Every single player on that pitch will have to be complete tuned in and play their hearts out though. Can't wait!

the inclusion on paper of Rio makes that United team look so much stronger than without him. I can def see United getting a result in Milan. I personally think they will win at the San Siro, i just have this feeling that its going to be there year. I said at beginning of season they would win Champions League, and i still feel that way.

THink ROnaldo will have a better game as well, as will have a bit more freedom with AC needing to attack.

Rooney will score as well.

Something tells me a few players might be back sooner than expected.

Hahaha sharpness!

Well I seriously doubt that Vidic will be back, no way Jose. Rio is a maybe, Saha has been on the boundaries for a week and a half so that is touch and go. Maybe start on the bench.

I'm going for a 2-1 Milan win.

Gattuso has been passed fit, although Maldini is doubtful. I think the crowd might play a part in proceedings; don't forget this is their whole season, they're not playing for anything else really. The Rosseneri will be fired up to the max. Also, I think Milan's record in playing the 2nd leg at home is extraordinary, only ever been knocked out playing the second leg at home once in their entire history. Rio might play but SAF gambled on him for the Middlesborough game and he broke down, so it's a big risk.

This match could be the key to United's treble bid. Win it and I fancy them to clean up. Lose it and they could still lose everything, even though they're in pole position in the league. They've got City away at the weekend which could be interesting if they come back from Milan in a despondent mood.

I fancy United to score but I just feel that Milan will score at least two. 2-1.

To be honest with you Johaldo, I've been flirting with a 2-1 Milan win and Kaka to score the first goal, I just have that feeling.....

But I'm hoping our players just keep their cool but don't sit back as much, I don't think we will be able to come back as much this time. I think the score will be 2-1, I just hope it's for us!

Yesssssss!!!... Rio and Vidic have travelled with the squad. If they start I'm backing United to qualify.

1-1

Patrice Evra is suspended against AC Milan. Gabriel Heinze, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes (Man. Utd) and Paolo Maldini (AC Milan) will be suspended for the final if they receive another caution and their team progresses.

GO AC MILAN! Wink

If Vidic and Ferdinand are both fit to play I'm backing United to win , if there not Milan will win. 2-1 United.

Just hope Paul Scholes keeps his head and doesn't do anything stupid.

For Milan to win, Kaka would have to come up with another heroic performance, cause their other players don't really have it in them to produce that kind of magic. As much as i love the guy and consider him possibly the best player around today, i have a feeling he won't be able to do that in the second leg too. But if he does, i'll be the first to admit i was wrong.

My prediction is 2-0 United.

I hope no one is expecting an exciting game...

Cause it aint gonna happen...

Milan are gonna go for the 1-0... And once they get the goal, they will sit back with 11 men behind the ball >sigh<

But i'm gonna go 1-1 Gattuso and Rooney to score... Razz
