Laughing Tell me about it. The Reading ladies website is just poor. Launton don't even have one!

Wycome Wanderers Ladies 2-1 Reading Ladies Crying or Very sad

Always was such a difficult trip glad we were not embarassed though and kept fighting. Report below from Wycombe website so slightly biased:

Quote:
ycombe travelled away to Reading Ladies on Sunday and came away with a 2-1 victory.
With both sides playing very deep and on a perfect pitch, at times there was to much room to play with no real penetration from either side.
As the half went on Wycombe had good possession of the ball and squandered many chances to take the lead. Su, Twiggy, Charlie and Lisa all had chances, but the score remained 0-0.
In the second half Wycombe pushed hard for a goal and were rewarded with a penalty but this was no sure thing as we have missed 4 this year. Up stepped Su to take it, only to hit the post. The referee demanded a retake of which the goalkeeper frustratingly saved. The frustration was beginning to show when, out of nowhere, Su hit a 25yard curling shot into the top corner. This only seemed to inspire Reading who then came straight back to equalise. With 10 minutes remaining Wycombe were awarded another penalty and this time there were no mistakes and Wycombe came away with a deserved win.

Obviously it's a blow but I'm not too disheartened by the score as it seems like we kept on fighting until he end and kept the score respectable. That report didn't say who the Reading scorer was!

The girls had a break from action this weekend but are back in the thick of it Sunday 13th May with another fixture, this time at home, against Aldershot. A game we battled and fought our way to a crucial 1-0 win away a few weeks ago which gives me some optimism that we can beat the odds again and turn them over with some better football at the Ibis.

The Reading - Aldershot return game was played on Sunday 6th and the fixture was reversed to Farnboro gate again. The video and report of the match are on the Shots website on the sections The Team and in the forum section there is a shots biased report of the game. I don't think the two teams are best of friends!! I won't spoil it by revealing the result this time but it sounds exciting....

I'm sure it is your team as I saw Shots play the other Reading team ( the one which gets support from the Royals and plays in the RFC kit ) on thursday when they won the league...good that you support the grass-roots team. Amazing that there is also a third Reading team who play at a very high level also having lost the support of RFC this season-Reading Royals LFC in the Premier league. Plenty of options for a fan where you are!

Laughing Sure is! Yeah the Women side won the division and the royals play in quite a high level league. I cant believe the Shots game has been played with no word on the Reading Ladies site!
