Let's take the girl out of Twmcat's thread - she deserves to have her own one Laughing

As we already know, Lianne has won the Player of the Month Award for January 2006 Cool

Arsenal striker January's player of the month

January's Nationwide player of the month award has gone to Arsenal striker Lianne Sanderson,
who grabbed Arsenal's sixth goal as they beat Sunderland on Sunday.
Sanderson only turned 18 last week but has held her own alongside the likes of Julie Fleeting and Kelly Smith this season,
scoring two as Arsenal beat Leeds 4-1 last month,
so no wonder her performances caught the eye of the selection panel
- which includes England coach Hope Powell.

"Lianne has been in scintillating form during January
and her goals have been a key factor in her side's success," said Nationwide's Chris Hull of their decision.
"Lianne's strikes have helped to take Arsenal back to the top of the table
and into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
"Lianne has established a regular place in the Arsenal line-up this season
as well as being an important member of the England Under-19 team."

"Lianne has made an outstanding contribution to our game in the first half of the season
and has been fantastic to work with," added Arsenal manager Vic Akers.

"Her strength and knowledge of the game coupled with the way she applies herself
makes her a real threat going forward and I am positive that she will be a major player
for both Arsenal and England in the next 10 years."

Nice pics of Lianne. I had my camera at that game but I do not sit in the East Stand so I was not able to take any good pics of Lianne getting the champagne from David Dein.

Yeah she said hello to me in Umea as well
but I think it's because she misheard me
and thought I said hello first but in fact I said something else Laughing

Anyway, what I said:
Li was carrying a 24-pack of drinks for the team
(probably nicked them from UIK's lockers) Laughing

and I said something like "Wow that's a lot"
- I think she only heard the "a lot" part and took it as "hello"
- it was quite noisy there and she didn't expect me to talk to her
which I wasn't anyway Laughing

But she looked at me like this: Confused

when she said that hello Laughing
