Apologies if this has already been posted, but the BBC reports that Chelsea are close to signing Brazilian, Borrussia Dortmund left back, Dede, subject to him getting a work permit, which is tricky as he is not an international. He is 27, and has apparently been rated as the best left back in their league for the last 5 years or so. Apart from that, I know nothing about him.any thoughts?

Yeh I read this when I was in school. I dont rate him that good, yes hes good but better than Lampard ? Makele ? Cole ? Robben ? or Duff ? No I dont think so, maybe Arsenal or Newcastle would suit him more than Chelsea.

He is good but I think Lahm is the best in the Bundesliga (or has the potential to), he is class though!

Dede is much better than lahm, he is our best defender and we should not let him go, we need to keep players like him if we wish to challange other teams for UEFA cup and CL.

On the other hand we need to make some money to get us out of trouble, its a really tough one, but if we really must let him go Chelsea is where he should go.
