Michael Owen says that he would be open to a return to Liverpool.

The star striker has not been given the amount of first team opertunitites as he would like this season with Ronaldo and Raśl keeping him out of the side most weeks. He has been on great scoring form but coach Luxemburgo seems to prefer the striker duo of Raśl and Ronaldo ahead of the England striker.

Owen left Anfield last summer, it was one of the first deals dfone by new coach Benitez, but Owen would still consider going back to Anfield if things dont pan out in the way he desires.

Quote:
part of owens recent interview with shoot magazine"Would I return to Liverpool? I would have nothing against it if I had to move for one reason or another,"

"I left Liverpool on good terms, they are still the first result I look out for and I have a lot of friends there.

"I have no bitterness at all to Liverpool and they are still a club very close to my heart.

"It's well documented I don't like sitting on the bench, so let's hope things improve."

I agree, they have a good bunch of players on the bench!!!!!!!
Guti, figo, solari etc, real madrid are only in it for the money hence dave beckham although hes been playing well figo can do alot more.

They meant to be interested in joaquin, reyes, and they are looking for a right winger as figo is leaving.

they have 170 million euros to spend so alot of players coming in and some going out,i cant see themselling owen as he has got 15 goals in la liga.

Hes a cracking player, and I'd love to see him and Cisse as a strike partenership personally. I think Benitez should regret letting him go the goals hes been scoring has been great. I really hope he does decide to return to English football. Look what happend to Beckham after he went abroad, I dont want Owen to get unfit and lose confidence bring him back someone.

Owen will be back in Merseyside but not for a while yet!

I also think him and Cisse would make a great partnership

Yeah, Real need a DMC and DC though, not another striker!

Gravesen has been great in the DMC role so they dont need another player in that position and beckham is better than figo by miles.

They do need strengthning though and a complete defense make-over.
