Same format at J-axe thread for the men's footie
Your team. Arsenal Ladies How was your season? Fantastic, the team won everything that was available, that is six trophies if minor trophies are included otherwise a quadruple and the team is still unbeaten with one league game to go. Very much a lot of up and no down. If I am greedy I can say we conceded too many goals and missed a lot of chances during the season Hopefully your biggest rivals did not outperform you. How did your rivals do? Everton are doing well and will finish second of the League and qualify for the UEFA Cup but won nothing Charlton are in rebuilding process having lost two key players Cope and Chapman and won nothing Who was your best player? Katie Chapman her arrival has freed up all the attackers including Jayne Ludlow from defensive duty and allow an attacking formation to prosper while offering imcomparable defensive stabilty. Who was your worst player? Not the worse but Cori Daniels was loaned during the season to make way for youngsters to play at Center back. Rebecca SPencer who let a goal in in the 14-1 victory against Reading Royals. Any new talent come through the ranks? Gilly Flaherty, she got 13 games while still being 15 years old. Felicienne Minnaar is also a quality player. Academy players Danielle Buet and Charlotte Gurr did alos get a few first team game under the belt. What about the transfers? Did they add anything other than extra names on the payroll? Karen Carney brought her ability to beat defenders in one to one situation and also her passing and crossing super quality. She also added depth on the bench. Katie Chapman brought her defensive quality and will to win Best goal your team scored? Two of them Alex Scott against Umea in the first leg of the UEFA cup final and Julie Fleeting's overhead scissor kick away at Breidablik in the 1/4 final. What was your lowest point? Pass maybe Arsenal treating badly its youngsters. Unless you were relegated, what were you high points? Quadruple Best player against you? Marta what a skillfull player. Should your manager still be in charge? Yes. Rate him. 9.5/10 Your club’s chairman is online on the Football.uk forum. Tell him what you want done next season. Sack **** **** and trust the youngsters as they are the team's future. [/quote] |

From the pictures James Prickett has up it seems that Jayne Ludlow, Katie Chapman, Lianne Sanderson and Kelly Smith all got their hands on something
I think Arsenal Ladies got a special something too |

This is how Fara & Steph earned the award (according to uefa.com):
On the international front, England have qualified for their first FIFA Women's World Cup in 12 years. Williams, who played ten times for the national team this term to reach the 50-cap mark, was rewarded for her consistent performances including her part in forcing France's Hoda Lattaf into the own goal that proved crucial in getting England the point they needed to earn a place in China in September. Williams also helped Everton to second spot in the league, enough to secure a UEFA Women's Cup debut next season. Sunderland LFC's Stephanie Houghton, who helped England qualify for next month's UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship, and has since stepped up to senior level, was selected as Young Player of the Year. ================== One question though: why isn't Fara anywhere on the photos? |

Also she got it due to the fact she already has 50 caps and is only 23!!
