but hes a good bloke, and im sure theres a reason behind this madness. he has promised big signings, so he's obviously thought this one through.

I think Barton is a better player than Scott Parker. Parker is good but he wants to get back to his old manager and I can't blame him for the move. I can see more attacking football with Barton and that is what I want.

i think scott parker could make a gd partenrship with joey parker would win the balkl back as thats what he does tackles and wins the ball back and joey is a ball playing attacking midfield player.

but...parkers going mate lol.

If Newcastle want to be a top side again. We really need to be holding on to players like Parker and buying Barton as well. Both are top players in my opinion. I do like Barton though, he is a class player.

It really is a shame that Parker is going but Parker wanted to leave Newcastle in my opinion.

I read an intresting article on bbc 606 site. Newcastles former stratergy of bying reject players from good clubs EG Babayaro, Emre, Martins, Owen and even Parker, this is not the way forward, what Newcastles new and in my opinion better stratergy is buying smaller clubs best players, eg Viduka, Rozzenhal and Barton.
