Erm... yeah - there's a football team in Sweden, called Linköpings FC Mr. Green
They are currently at the bottom of the table with no points whatsoever.

I actually have a serious question.

Are Petra Larsson and Sara Larsson both sisters playing for LFC?

For Smoggie: LFC's star
and the author of one of Sweden's today's goals against Italy,
Miss

Pffff Laughing Haven't you noticed yet
that in Sweden there's about 20 names
so people have to use the same ones
even if they are not related?? Laughing

After 6 games in Damallsvenskan,
LFC are finally climbing up the league table,
they are now 8th, after drawing with Sunnanå 1-1 yesterday.
Their next game is against AIK at home on May 23rd,
which should be an easy way to gain more points Cool

My Team Is:

Who they are:
Goalkeepers:
1 Hedvig Lindahl (24)
2 Maria Cederholm (20)
22 Jenny Olsson (21)

Defenders:
3 Maria Lindström (27)
4 Sara Larsson (28')
6 Maria Karlsson (24)
7 Charlotte Rohlin (27)
8 Faith Ikidi (20)
9 Frida Östberg (29)
17 Marie-Louise Skålberg (25)
24 Madelene Nordén (21)

Midfielders:
11 Ann Westermark (26)
12 Petra Larsson (18')
14 Anna-Kaisa Rantanen (29)
15 Frida Carlswärd (18')
19 Maureen Mmadu (32)
20 Caroline Seger (22)
21 Maja Krantz (20)

Forwards:
5 Astrid Ekholm (21)
10 Josefine Öqvist (23)
13 Sandra Landberg-Carlzon (20)
16 Maria Aronsson (24)
18 Kosovare Asllani (18')

25 Tiffeny Milbrett – but she’s gone back home; may return
Coach: Daniel Pettersson – new coach for 2007 season.

All players (except 3) have played for their national teams at some level
8 have/do play regularly for the Swedish NT
1 Finnish NT, 2 Nigerian NT, Millie seemed to play forever on the USWNT.

3 massive injury blows this season – 3 ACL’s in same amount of months.
First Lindahl got injured (one of the best keepers in the World – so we went and found 2 new ones; Mia C and Jenny)
Then AK tore her ACL which meant a few of the new girls and younger girls got chance to step up – one of those was Maja.
Then Maja tore her ACL too playing against SSK.

Talk about unlucky for the LFC team – they’ve had other injuries that have kept players out of games including Sara Larsson and Petra Larsson.
With all the injuries minor and serious, 2 new players were brought in to strengthen the squad – Mmadu and Ikidi – doing well, physical players, got a few goals between them too.

AK and Maja won’t play in this season but Hedde is getting back to fitness and trying hard to make the Swedish World Cup NT – she’s back doing some training so maybe she’ll get a few games, who knows.
Good team with lots of talent good at bringing through young players.

Linköpings FC is an association football club from Linköping, Sweden***. The club was established in 2003 when Kenty DFF women's football club decided to merge with the premier division ice hockey club Linköpings HC under the new name Linköpings FC. Their goal was both to establish women's football as a sport in Linköping and to end up eventually among the top four teams.

They play their home games at Folkungavallen
Played in the damallsvenskan in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005 – present
Home kit is all blue, Away kit is white shirt, black shorts and black socks!

Linköpings FC finished the 2004 season, their first in the Women's premier division (Damallsvenskan), in sixth place. The last two seasons they have reached their goal of finishing top four in the league, with a fourth place in 2005 and a third place in 2006. In 2006 the club also won Svenska Cupen ("The Swedish Cup") for the first time, defeating Umeå IK 3-2 in the cup final.

From 2004 to 2007 Linköpings FC increased their annual turnover from 2,4 million SEK to 5,0 million SEK. At the same time their average attendance dropped from 1,609 in the 2004 season to 997 in 2006 link
