Sian wants to play 90 minutes in every game
so I reckon she won't go to a club filled with superstars
- I recommend Bristol / Blackburn / Chelsea / Birmingham / Doncaster.
And I still don't think she'll have 90 minutes in every game guaranteed.

I think she will be a starter in most games in a smaller club considering her ability and skills.

I was thinking Chelsea for her as it is in the London area. It's harder to guess in women's football because player's have family's and jobs etc I know that the men do also but they have the money and people in the know to provide for them.

I was thinking that Leeds may also be an option, but I don't know as it may be quite far to travel for her.

Sian is based during the week at the National Players Development Center in Loughborough anyway, she travels on week-end and did not train with Arsenal most of the time same as Gemma, Natasha Dowie for Charlton or Jill Scott for Everton.

I don't think any big names at Arsenal will go, apart from a few of the younger players leaving.

I hope there will be some new players for next season Wink

Yeah, this is what WomensFootball said in a myspace bulletin:

Following the recent good run of our team of informers the latest rumour to reach us via smoke signals from Merseyside is Fara Williams to Arsenal....

Anybody ?

Well they already have the rest of the England midfield but surely this wouldn't mean the world's best central midfield player Jayne Ludlow making way for Fara ? Sacre Bleu ! As they say in Wales Smile

Thanks for all the messages on my site and the facebook group as well as on here....Keep them coming and lets make the close season pass quicker with some women's football discussion !

I personally can't see Fara leaving, don't know why Confused I hope she stays at Everton they have potential in the younger ranks and Mo Marley has done well with them this season, reaching Europe. I think that Fara would want to stay for the opportunity in Europe with Everton plus she has been at the club for a long time.

If she did join Arsenal, I don't think that she will push anyone out of position straight away.

I wouldn't see why we would be wanting more midfielders when defence might need more support if Yvonne is out for longer.

I personally wouldn't mind Fara at Arsenal - she's a decent player
but how is that good for the league,
to pile all the best England players up in one club?

Nowhere else in Europe can you find a good league
where the national team's first squad is playing in one club.

Last season we got Carney, if we get Fara now as well,
there would only be Stoney, S.Smith and Brown left
in other clubs than Arsenal, from the England first XI
and they don't always make the starting eleven anyway.

Arsenal = England (+2 Irish, 1 Welsh & 1 Scottish). That's stupid.
Another unbeaten season on the way then. Not so exciting any more though...

In the nicest way I hope she doesn't go to Arsenal as it makes it more competitive also as far as I'm aware Fara is employed by Everton so surely that would impact on her

I would not understand her coming to Arsenal the year Everton will play the UEFA cup except if she has personal reason to prefer to live in London of course.
Anyway she would warm the bench up most of the time as she is not better IMO than Jayne Katie and Anita who will fight for the two spot in center midfield.

Aluko is too mono-dimensional and would force Arsenal to play like Charlton should she join, that would be bad.She is the same as Cissé in the men's football. Very good at what she does but suited to one style of football.

I wouldn't want Aluko in Arsenal to be honest.
She looked promising at Euro 2005 but then she's gotten worse.
Maybe it has to do with her studies - she's too busy with her books or something...
Anyway, she's fast on the pitch but that's basically all...

Wouldn't want Fara Williams at Arsenal , we already have a great midfield and I rate Luds , Asante and Chapman above her. If she did come who would leave , you couldn't keep all that talent for the bench.

As for Aluko , no , stay at Charlton. Arsenal have some good young player's coming through , stick with them.

I wouldn't mind seeing Wambach there but I can dream Wink anyway don't think she could hack the English weather Laughing

Faye White to Ottawa Fury
Fury defence adds Gunner:

One of the most decorated names in English women's soccer is joining the Ottawa Fury's lineup.

Defender Faye White, the captain of both the Arsenal and England women's teams, has signed a contract with the W-League side for the rest of the season.

White arrives in the capital on Monday, and the Fury hope she'll be on the field for Wednesday's exhibition match with the powerful Jersey Sky Blue. It's a 7 p.m. kickoff at Keith Harris Stadium.

"She's going to be a tremendous addition to our squad for the rest of the season," Fury owner/CEO John Pugh said yesterday. "Any time you can bring in a defender of this quality, you're happy."

Pugh first learned the 6-foot White might be available through some contacts in England. She missed most of the 2006-07 season with a knee injury, but returned in time to help Arsenal win the UEFA Women's Cup. That completed a historic 22-0 season for the Gunners, who also took the Premier League title and League and FA Cups.

White, considered one of England's best central defenders, sees the Fury and the W-League as the right place to regain the fitness she needs to lead England into the women's World Cup in China in September.

White, 29, has earned 52 international caps for England. She first captained the national side in 2002, and suited up for it on May 17 against Iceland.

"What she requires right now is lots of match play and a good training environment," said Pugh.

It's also a perfect fit for the Fury, who counted two defenders among the five players they released to the Canadian national team residency program before the season.

"Faye is exactly what we need on the back line, to take us to the playoffs and beyond," said Pugh.

The Fury are off to a 3-0 start this season, and are shooting for their fifth straight berth in the W-League North American final. They were runners-up the past two years.
