Who should our new skipper be?

now that parker has left, we are in need of a new skip. but who do you think deserves to be it, and why?


my vote goes to shay. i know keepers arnt in the best of position to captain a team, but he has been there for a long time, and is loyal to the club. i think he can do the job well.

Needs to be a defender. Obviously it's not going to be anyone from defence at the moment as we don't have anyone except Tayls!! He's too young I think and would like someone more experienced.

Keep Shay as Vice Captain. I'll decide when I see what our backline looks like.

I dont think a player with the mentality of taylor is ever too young to b captain great player future captain of england. I think his display against holland in the u21 euro championships shoukd b inspiration for any player in world football and deserves his to get the captaincy in my opinion.

I dont like having a goal keeper as captain, i prefer a defender or midfield, wen ur Newcastle if ur captain can hold defence together and let in less goals, u have the quality upfront to get goals neway.

If he getts played Nicky Butt, hes realy matured and has the winning mentality.
