Contract talks Underway

Nick Hammond has confirmed that contract discussions with Leroy Lita and Nicky Shorey are continuing.

Lita impressed for England in the recent under 21s European Championships, while Shorey made his full international debut in the 1-1 draw with Brazil at Wembley.

Hammond told readingfc.co.uk, "I've held initial discussion with both players' representatives.

"They were very positive meetings.

"We're keen to take things forward, and the discussions will continue in the not too distant future."
