Espanyol midfielder Ivan de la Pena has confirmed he would be interested in furthering his career in the Premiership.
De la Pena is considered to be an underachiever in Spain after failing to build on the fine start he made to his career with Barcelona.
Moves to Lazio and Marseille failed to work out although he has impressed after returning to the Primera Liga with Espanyol.
Manchester United have been linked with the 29-year-old, but the Spanish midfielder insists any move from Espanyol will not be discussed until the end of the season.
"I have always said that I would like to play in England and it would be an attractive move for me but at the moment I am concentrating on Espanyol and working hard for the team," he admitted.
"We are trying to get into the
Champions League and we will see where we are at the end of the season."
Espanyol are in fifth place in the table, two points behind a
Champions League spot with just three games to play.
