Quoted from Wolves official site:

Wolves have agreed personal terms with Southend United striker Freddy Eastwood.

In his three years at Roots Hall, the 23-year-old has scored 62 goals for The Shrimpers from 129 appearances and he will be seen as an integral part of Mick McCarthy's plans.

A trainee with West Ham, he moved to Grays Athletic for a season scoring 29 goals before switching to Southend in October, 2004.

Chief executive Jez Moxey said: "We have been in pursuit of Freddy Eastwood since the end of last season and have had on going negotiations with Southend United chairman Ron Martin. The financial details of the bids we make for players are confidential, however, we are pleased to have agreed transfer terms with Ron.

"We are also delighted to report that following discussions, and a medical, with Freddy at Molineux yesterday and today, we have now agreed personal terms. Freddy will sign a four year contract.

"The formalities of this transfer should be completed within the next few days."

Michael Kightly, who was a team-mate of Freddy at Southend, added: "He's a natural goalscorer - whether it be a 30-yards volley or a tap in from a couple of yards, he knows where the net is."

Excellent news, didn't think we would get him when Charlton reportedly were after him so I'm absolutely delighted!!

It'll be interesting to see how Eastwood performs in his second Championship season (obviously presuming that he is acquired by a Championship club). He was in tremendous form in the opening few months, and was highly sought after. Coppell i believe was very ken on him at one point. But for whatever reason, he seemed to fizzle out quite substantially in the latter stages of the season so i am sure people will be keen to see whether he can rediscover that good form.

NOW it's official. Very Happy

http://www.southendunited.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10444~1068008,00.html

Southend United can confirm that they have reluctantly agreed to sell striker Freddy Eastwood to Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight.

The 23-year-old will now move to the Midlands Club for an undisclosed fee after all parties agreed terms late on Wednesday evening.

Eastwood had also been subject of transfer bids from Charlton Athletic, but it is Wanderers who have won the race to sign the highly rated youngster.

I personally beleive that Billy Sharp will do better this season than Freddie Eastwood.

But thats beised the point. I think Keogh and Eastwood will form a deadly partnership in the Championship and will cause many defenders problems. If Eastwood can keep his form going all through the season I think he will be a success but if he just slips away again in the second period of the season, I wouldnt call him a success.

I think Wolves now have a very good young squad based on speed and should now be a huge threat to every other Championship club.

Wolves for the title ?

The gypo left Roots Hall 'cause he couldn't put down roots! Watch out for mongrels, sh1t, bikes, caravans, gas canisters and disgarded fridges at Molineaux! Wink

Matty Hill was our player of the year last season and there is no way on earth Simmo will let him go he is a dead cert for left back

I tell you one thing it would take a big offer for us to consider letting him go.

he is a class act

Well the rumour I've heard is we're considering upping our bid for him.

So it seems as if we've already had one bid turned down if it's true.
