Can england do it? I say not. We have always, always had great players, even though at times they were criminally not picked (see G Taylor). But we never ever perform. We have some top talent at the moment, but never transfer this to performances..........I cant see us doing better that the quarter finals.

I totally agree, England haev allways had great players, why are they better off now ?

They qualify for the knockout stages of competitions and the media hype and expectation is so high that the players think that they can climb everest and forget that they have to win a football match - Mind you if Rooney had been fit and That late goal versus Portugal had been allowed Euro 2004 would have ended up here!

You say Holland look at Portugauls youngsteres ! They will be awsome for the future, without a doubt Worl Cup 2010 but I wouldntr put it past them for 2006.

england are overated.

holland and portugal have a chance but i think brazil or argentina will win it.
