I think if we pay the £17m Charlton want for Bent we will be a laughing stock, seeing as though Henry has just been sold for £16m.

Theres a lot more than a players ability that goes into deciding a transfer fee Matt.

Reports this morning are claiming that Spurs are set to confirm the signing of central defender Younes Kaboul later today.

Kaboul has been linked with a move to Spurs since the end of the French season when Auxerre vice-president Gerard Bourgoin told reporters: "he is discussing with Tottenham and that negotiations are in a good way. Now we wait and see."

Kaboul's agent Ruby Rada added further fire to the flames last week when he said:

"Younes has told Auxerre that he loves Tottenham,

"We will see what happens in the next couple of days.

Reports this morning claim that despite undergoing a medical some weeks ago, the deal has been delayed for unknown reasons. Those reasons now appear to be resolved as Kaboul is set to be unveiled as a Spurs player today.

All seems to have gone quiet on Petrov front and noone knows why.

Many think its cos we know we can get him if we want but are going to trying to get someone better first and if it doesnt work out we will get PEtrov.

Seems like Petrov could be on his way to Man-City, if this happens we only have ourselves to blame, cannot belive we are looking @ Freddy Adu not good enough for Man-Utd not good enough for us.

City?? That would be a bit of a slip up if we've missed out on him.

IF we have let that happen then we must have someone else lined up, like ive said Petrov deal is all sorted they aere just waiting on our say so.

So if we've said no and hes gone to City then so be it, we can do better.

And Braveheart we arent looking at Adu.

i don't know why we didn't sort out a left winger to begin with, we've needed a player in that position for ages and i'll be surprised if Martin doesn't bring someone in soon. Petrov would be a good addition and i think he'd work really well with Berbatov but if he's off to man city then i just hope Jol has other ideas in mind. Sure he does though so not too worried.

Good. He is a massive lazy shite. Plus, 5 strikers all wanting to play regularly is unhealthy.

Rose doing medical today, Chelsea tried to get him (again) at last minute but he wasnt interested.

Petrov now looking doubtful, think hes going elsewhere, club have passed on him.
