Germany 4 - 2 France

A find this game on a live stream out of nowhere which was pretty lucky Cool

A dire first half and I thought about turning it off there were scrappy tackles and the football wasn't nice but I decided to stick with it just to see what players looked god for the future and I have to say the Kerschowski twins are both brilliant players, though the number 9 of them had a outstanding game and I look forward to see what she is like in a few years time. Very quick and powerful!

Germany had the lead before half time it looked a bit one sided. France came out after the break all guns blazing but let one in, it was a nice goal too by the French forward. I think Germany kind of relaxed and France got one back a minute later which really got the game going. France got a corner later on and I can't remember who it was but she really thumped a header in.

Game went into extra time and Germany got one, I didn't actually see it as I was eating then it all went to pot when Kerschowski scored Rolling Eyes

Brilliant second half though, am going now to find the Eng v Norway game. If I find anything I will put it here Wink

I was watching the game down the pub Very Happy We were rubbish defensively. The first 3 goals we let in where really 12 years defending stuff. Credit to the girls for fighting back and unsettling the German defence and then in extra time mickey mouse defending again. Nevermind...

Ellen White 2 goals , Lizzie Edwards 1 ...Chelsea players both. What a great result , now go and win the Final. Ellen maybe as a surprise late candidate for the full squad ...the next generation of England regulars.

Ah well - just to make it interesting:

Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,
Über alles in der Welt,
Wenn es stets zu Schutz und Trutze,
Brüderlich zusammenhält,
Von der Maas bis an die Memel,
Von der Etsch bis an den Belt -
Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,
Über alles in der Welt.

Deutsche Frauen, deutsche Treue,
Deutscher Wein und deutscher Sang
Sollen in der Welt behalten
Ihren alten schönen Klang,
Uns zu edler Tat begeistern
Unser ganzes Leben lang.
Deutsche Frauen, deutsche Treue,
Deutscher Wein und deutscher Sang

Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit
für das deutsche Vaterland!
Danach lasst uns alle streben
Brüderlich mit Herz und Hand!
Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit
Sind des Glückes Unterpfand;
Blüh' im Glanze dieses Glückes,
Blühe, deutsches Vaterland.

Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,
Und im Unglück nun erst recht.
Nur im Unglück kann die Liebe
Zeigen, ob sie stark und echt.
Und so soll es weiterklingen
Von Geschlechte zu Geschlecht:
Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,
Und im Unglück nun erst recht.

Some fine individual performances by English players mainly in defence- a pity that the flair players were all on the other side. Fully deserved victory for the Germans but a great achievement to get to a European final by this group. I enjoyed the fact that the male commentator was convinced that Danni Hill's running commentary on the game was England coach Mo Marley. Just sorry that the opening goal came from one of the set pieces where ' we don't concede' . I wonder how many of that group will become full England regulars- Fern Whelan, Ellen White, Sophie Bradley andJess Clarke on todays showing for me.

It was a well contested game and I really like Ellen White, she was very strong and quick and never hesistated to get involved Cool I didn't think we ever looked like scoring Rolling Eyes Germany had it in them and when the other twin came on, I started cringing Wink

I love Jen hahaha when she wondered if he was going to give another lecture about mirrored twins like he did in the semi-final Laughing

Well done to England though for getting so far and putting up a massive fight, completely sickening that we had to lose it to the Germans...of all people!! Sods law Rolling Eyes
