Anyone else watch this match? I thaught Madrid controlled the match but anytime Sevilla mounted an attack they ripped Madrid apart. I really think Sevilla will upest alot of teams in the CL this season there just so dangerous on the counter & have so much pace in the side.

Yes I have seen both games. Sevilla have deserved to win, in this second game seemed that Sevilla scored goals when they needed to score. But Alves played, then we will have to see when Alves leaves the club because is one of their best players.

Was first leg 1-0 and second leg 3-5.

Fair victory for Sevilla. Real didn't deserve to win.

About Alves, one thing is sure: He won't resist in England. He's such a diver... Laughing

Well can it really be classed as an upset now they're an established team?

I think they are currently a lot better than Arsenal, and have been a lot better over the last couple of seasons.

Its an upset of the highest order, Sevilla are minnows compared to Real, sack the manager, he has only been there a month but he is crap, clearly. Whats the odds on Rafa to Real now?

Why would Rafa go to Real when Hicks/Gillett are giving him lots of money to spend and he knows that he won't be sacked if he doesn't win the premiership? No way.

I've said it before that Schuster will be sacked by Xmas if Real is not convincingly improved, but i doubt it will be Rafa to replace him.

As for the match, i completely forgot about it for some reason and now i'm kicking myself about it. 5-3?!!! Must have been a great match!

Because Hicks and Gillet are only giving him the leftover cash from the loan they took out for the stadium, once its gone it will be back to the old ways, he will only be able to buy 30 players a season instead of 50

Losing to the current UEFA cup and Cope del rey champions is not an upset. It's certainly not a huge upset anyway. I expect Sevilla to beat us, they are a class team, and in my opinion were the best in the league last season. I think they suffered hugely because of the UEFA cup towards the end of the season.

Well they are an established side now yes, but I think alot of people wont be excpecting much of them.

I wouldnt call Sevilla an established team just yet, if they carry on like this for another season or two and become regulars in the Champions League then yes but for now theyre still a mid table club with a top class team

I think becoming the first team since Real Madrid to retain the UEFA, along with their cope del rey and Spanish super cup success recently makes them a lot more than that.

I think they are a better team than Arsenal, and over the last couple of seasons have been a hell of a lot more successful.

The UEFA Cup is not as hard to win these days, its made up of teams finishing 4th,5th and 6th, it used to be 2nd,3rd and 4th placed teams. Sevilla re not a big club, thats why the players want out as soon as there is a bid for them and the manager feels a move to Spurs is a step up. Sevilla have a good side right now but everyone knows they wont continue to have a top side, once players start leaving they will go downhill

Sevilla players leave the club because the big clubs can pay them a great salary, and Sevilla can't. And if these players leave the club they will find some new good and cheap players. When Baptista, Ramos and Reyes left the club people thought that they wouldn't win anything and is when they started to win more titles. They signed Alves for €0.8m and now will sell him for €30 or 35m. And if Juande Ramos leaves the club I think that they will sign another good manager. The secret of Sevilla is that they have a man called Monchi that always signs good and cheap players.
