It looks like we've finally accepted that we won't be getting Kaka, and that's why we've now targeted van der Vaart, which makes me very happy.

Madrid are better than Milan. We won more games than them last season, despite having a poor start because our players we settling in. Towards the end of the season we were one of the best teams in the world.

You forgot to mention Milan won the CL & Real got not knocked out in the 2nd round.

No Kaka won't leave. All just nasty rumors from Calderon & his board of scum.

That's true, but that doesn't mean they are better. We won the league and didn't do badly in the Champions League, they won the Champions League and were pathetic in the league.

We only went out to Bayern because the ref didn't give Ramos' goal. And Milan were very lucky against Bayern, the penalty Kaka got was never a penalty.

Pathetic is the same word I would use for Madrid up until March when they started to click. They were a shambles in the league from the start of the season until they got knocked out of Europe & the Spanish Cup & only had 1 trophy to focus on. They played about 3 months of good football for the whole season. The only reason they won the league was because Barca & Sevilla kept blowing there chances.

In the first leg they were lucky yes but in the 2nd leg they were a master class.

Well, the latest rumour is that Berlusconi has suggested a 1-year trade of Kaka and Ronaldinho between the two teams (with no money or other players exchanged) and that Laporta has not (publicly) ruled it out yet.

I doubt we'll see something like that, but it's an interesting concept and as a Barca fan i wouldn't object to it. Only problem would be if the two teams met in the CL. How can you play 100% against a team you know you will be returning to in the summer? Personal glory is one answer to that, but if you're truly a team player and not a cold-blooded professional then i bet it's something you'll lose sleep over.

Agree to some extent. We were a shambles, but we managed to scrape through that period with enough points to not be completely out of the title race. After that, we were first class. Our run towards the end of the season was stunning.

I admit that if Barca didn't go into their matches earlier in the season thinking they would win because they are Barcelona, then they would've finished ahead of us. And if Sevilla didn't lose some of their players to the in the UEFA cup, and believe they really could win the league, then they (who played the best football last season, and in my opinion were the best team in the league) would've won it.
