England miss key trio in Holland

England will be without three key players for their toughest 2007 Women's World Cup qualifier to date,
against Holland in Zwolle on Thursday.

Combative Charlton midfielder Katie Chapman has a calf injury
while Everton midfielder Emily Westwood and Arsenal defender Alex Scott have knee injuries.

On the plus side, captain Faye White and striker Amanda Barr are back
after missing the 13-0 win against Hungary.

Holland, a physically strong side, have already beaten group favourites France.

Coach Hope Powell remains upbeat but described losing Chapman as a "massive loss".

"She's one of our most consistent performers
and she's been the unsung hero on a number of occasions," Powell said.

"But we've now got a lot of depth in the squad
and in any case, we can't harp on about the players who are missing
- it's about playing the game with the squad we've got."

After beating Austria 4-1 then battering Hungary,
England are top of their five-nation qualifying group
with a huge goal-difference advantage over the Dutch and the French
- both of whom are level on points with England.

And England, despite the loss of key players,
will be favourites on Thursday before they go into a four-month break from international action.

In Fifa's world rankings, fifth-placed France are nine rungs higher than England
while Holland sit four places below Powell's team.

"Going into the break from group games after Holland with three wins out of three would be great,"
Powell added.

"But we are facing a very difficult 90 minutes to achieve that.

"We want to play as well as we possibly can, but the result is the most important thing
and if we can come home with three points I'll be happy."
