Who will you be supporting through the World cup? As for those people on this site whos country has already qualified, who would you support if your country wasnt in the competiton? And why?

Like ive said in a different section, id support Spain as ive been there on holiday and i love the people and the place! I also have a soft spot for Trinidad & Tobabgo as wee Russel Latapy plays for them and hes a wee legend at Hibs!

I'll support Brazil because they play the best football and because there is Ronaldinho and I'll support England because I like some players like Lampard, Gerrard or Rooney and because I like the premier league.

Jamieg, in which part of Spain were you on holidays?

It depends on which year you went. Some years ago Español played in Sarria but since some years they play in Montjuic, that is situated in a mountain near the sea. It's a mountain where there are no houses there are only parks and some buildings like Montjuic Stadium (this is the stadium where Español plays and the stadium of the olympic ceremony of Barcelona '92), Palau Sant Jordi or Piscines (swimming pool) Picornell. This mountain is near the port. On 2007 Español will have their own stadium in a place near Barcelona called Cornellà.

To make my choices easy, I have decided to support one team in every continent:
Brazil for America, France for Europe, Japan for Asia, Ivory Coast for Africa and well Australia for Oceania.

Overall, I support Brazil( because of Ronaldinho, Kaka and Ronaldo). I will keep my eye out for France ( Zidane, Henry, Makelele and Trezeguet ) and Japan.

1. Brazil
2. France
3. Japan

I always support any of the home countries in any World Cup. I will be firmly behind England and will be just as upset as any other English fans if they get knocked out.

Assuming England are my team, if they get knocked out I will probably go for Brazil, they deserve it, they are the best!

I would like that Czech Republic and Holland made well because they play very well. I still remember the match that they played in the last European Cup, it was very exciting, the best match that I have seen the last years.

yes indeed, fantastic game.. with that in Holland (in a bad way) famous substitute-action of Dick Advocaat.. (with robben.. still unbelieveble).

But this year we made it all right I guess. by winning twice with 2-0 from czech.. Great they are through now also!!

Anyway.. of course Im going totally Oranje in the summer.. But, my other team will be Sweden or England..

Btw.. 15-11-2006 (yes 2006 haha) there is a friendly game between holland and england!!

Avoid Ronaldinho then; well I meant Brazil. And also France. Wink
