Alright first things first, I’ve got to admit I was wrong about Glazer taking over United, I really thought the coolmore mafia wouldn’t sell out, but there you go, gulp, now I’m filling up, where’s the Kleenex.

Now having read the article I know a few of you guys are going to say this isn’t going to happen, but what you have to think about is, does Glazer know something we don’t?
After all he’s pursued Manchester United vigorously for near on 12 months I think, (correct me if I’m wrong on that), so why has he done that? Manchester United were going on great without him in charge, making bundles of money, what’s he going to do differently to squeeze more money out of the punters, because let’s face it, not much more could be done that the current board (or former board) have already done, I think they’ve near on bled the well dry, the only thing left IMO is setting up his and Manchester United’s own TV deal

Which leads me on to my next question!!!

Now the dust is beginning to settle on what I could call a traumatic day, what repercussions could this have on football in general, given what that article has to say?

Thank you!!

Its a decent enough question, and I am in split minds over this guy now. I posted yesterday saying that it was a very sad day for United fans, and I stick by that, however its now time to try and make a possitive out of a negative. At the end of the day, the deal is done, and no matter what papers say, or shareholders united say, nothing will stop Glazier now. Not after he has come this far. Its now time to look at the history of Glazier. If you think about it, he had taken Tampa Bay from being one of the poorest Franchises in American sport, to a team winning the Superbowl. Now that is an acheivement in itself. He also spent over $8m just to get the best coach at the club. I do think things will be different at United, but I feel its time to sit back and see what he has to offer. He is a billionaire and a shrewed business man. He will know that to get the millions of £/$ that he is after, the team will need to be successful. A Non successful team will not bring in the money he wants to make. He wouldnt want to come in and destroy one of the biggest clubs in the world. The thing that worries me is the amount of debt United will have to carry.

You have to remember, United havent made as much money in the last 12 months, they are falling behind the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal also. Maybe it is time for a shake up. Fergie will also not now feel as comfortable in his job, and will know if he wants to stay, he has to win things. If not, he will be out the door.

Try keeping an open mind guys and girl, this may not be as bad as it all looks. Im just keeping my fingers crossed that this will all work out for the best
