Makes me want to puke.

And Charlton were saying they got no extra for the large FA Final attendance last time - so they got £1,000.

John Terry will get £1,000 in about every 1 hr 15 mins.

I don't know if outrageous is a strong enough word, infact I don't think any word can explain what getting '£1,000 in about very 1 hr 15 mins' for playing a game is.

It's just sticking two fingers up at the women's side of the game, at least that's what it feels like!

It makes me sick too - that's partly why I'm going to watch Women's football more than to men's.

Well, I enjoy watching the football, the players are pleasant and approachable, and I can afford it.

I don't even know if a ticket is available for the first men's Prem game v Fulham.
The cheapest train tic now is £63 - and will rise in price if I don't get it now - but, maybe there won't be any tix for the game - they are only available to Silver members atm.

I know I'll be able to watch women's footie anywhere (generally) atm - and enjoy it, and get autographs after the game even Wink

I don't know much about Cambridge but am guessing they aren't bad. All the best against them, if I am free on the day you play them I might be able to get down Wink

I take it you live fairly close by then? Cambridge sit in the Eastern Region Prem. They look to have struggled though, which is suprising as the next closest club with a C of E is Norwich. I would say the odds of us turning them over are 50-1. The girls will be buzzing at training tonight.

Yeah quite close but Norwich is closer to me than Cambridge. I doubt you'll turn them over but they'll go into the game thinking they can turn you over, I'm sure you can turn that into your favour Wink

We play in the Fenland Ladies League. Last season's league table is on this full time link - http://full-time.thefa.com/Index.do;jsessionid=93FE2AD8A34E215AD6DADA8A2F0F6B28 One team (Coates) didn't complete their fixtures, and this season sees two new teams from Lincolnshire enter.

It doesn't sit in the official pyramid, but several teams have opted to play in a more local league, as opposed to enter the county leagues. It has it pro's and con's, but last season there was less travelling, and hosted more teams than the Cambs Ladies league did which essentially is made up of teams from the south of the County. When we are older and good enough, we are more prepared to travel further in which to play games. [/url]

In the end we lost 11-0. We started well and after 20 minutes we were on top. Several shots on goal and our keeper was untroubled. Cambridge Utd soon scored after that with what was in my opinion a jammy goal. However, they did settle and built up a 3-0 lead adding a fourth just before the half time whistle. At the break we still felt confident but the sucker punch came with the fifth a minute after the restart. Cambridge Utd then added goals on a regular basis as we began to give up and allow them too much space.

Fair play to Cambridge, they defended well early on, and as the game went on they were very composed and were the fitter team. We didn't play to our potential, and afew niggling injuries didn't help our cause. However, it was still a worthwhile experience and something I recommend we try again next year. Now it's back to the league and the need for players to become totally injury free so they can perform to the best of their abilities is clear.

I am taking a step back from managing the team now after doing a 3 year stint. I've managed to find funding so that 15 females in the area can do a Level 1 coaching course and hopefully the future for the team comes from this. Fingers crossed they go onto a higher level. I'll still be a supporter and help where I can, but as manager I feel I've taken them as far as I can go, and I am knackered!!!

Good luck to Cambridge in the next round.

Any idea what the draw for the next round is?

The latest results I could find were:

Aston Villa Ladies 2-1 West Brom Ladies
Chesham Ladies 0-5 Portsmouth Ladies
West Ham Ladies 5-0 QPR Ladies
(Sunday, Dec 9th)

And these games will be played on Dec 16th:

Brighton Ladies v Welwyn Ladies, R3, 13:00
Colchester United v Luton Town Belles, R3, 13:00
Forest Green Rovers Ladies v Keynsham Town, R3, 14:00
Preston North End Ladies v Curzon Ashton Ladies, R3, 13:30
Team Bath Ladies v Newquay AFC Ladies, R3, 14:00
Whitehawk v Fulham Ladies, R3, 13:00

(Thanks BBC)

According to Arsenal.com, Arsenal will be playing Team Bath or Newquay at home on Jan 6th, so I assume that will be round 4.
