Group A
Pts
1 Liverpool 11
2 Porto 9
3 Besiktas 5
4 Marseille 2

Liverpool cuouldn't have wished for a better group. Porto should be favourites to finish second with Liverpool winning the group. Besiktas will have to settle for the UEFA Cup but I think they'll put up a good fight. I think this is going to be a bad season for Marseille, they are 15th is their league with 7 games in. There be happy with UEFA Cup.

Group B
Pts
1 Valencia 11
2 Chelsea 10
3 Schalke 5
4 Rosenborg 1

I think Valencia will will be a strong force this season by winning the group. Chelsea will have to settle for second place with Schalke in there to. Schalke will be happy with UEFA Cup considering they've got Valencia and Chelsea in thie group. Rosenborg will really struggle for anything but the UEFa will be thier ambition.

Group C
Pts
1 Real Madrid 16
2 Werder Bremen 8
3 Lazio 5
4 Olympiakos 2

Real will be happy with thier group and should stroll for first place. It will be an entertaining battle for second place with 3 quality sides. But Bremen will clinch this one because they've got more quality players with expierence. I think Lazio will grab UEFA Cup. But Olmpiakos will not lie down.

Group D
Pts
1 AC Millian 14
2 Shaktar Donetsk 8
3 Celtic 6
4 Benfica 4

AC Millian will confidently win the group leaving the others to come second. Shaktar have spent almost 40 million this summer and I think they have the quality to beat Benfica and Celtic. Benfica have had a terrible start to their league and I think it will be a disaster for them. Celtic had a unbeleveible run last year but I don't think they will follow it up with another.

Group E
Pts
1 Barcelona 10
2 Rangers 9
3 Lyon 8
4 Stuttgart 3

This is a hard draw for all the teams. Barca will not find it easy to qualify going to grounds like Ibrox and Stade Gerland but thier home form should ease them through. Lyon will not be a strong force this season after losing a couple of thier best players ( Malouda). They will not be happy with 3rd place but will have to settle for it. I think Rangers will be the surprise here and will scrape through just. There home form will play i a huge part. Suttgart have the hardest group and will really struggle.

Group F
Pts
1 Roma 11
2 Sporting Lisbon 8
3 Dynamo Kiev 6
4 Man Utd 5

I think Roma will do well this season in Europe and Lisbon as well. This is a hard group for Man U and will not qualify and will finish bottom. As for Dynamo will come 3rd because teams will want to go to the Ukraine.

Group G
Pts
1 Inter Millian 12
2 PSV 8
3 CSKA 6
4 Fenebahce 3

Inter will finsh top with Psv comind second. PSV will do good in Europe this season.
CSKA are a good side and will be happy with UEFA. Fenerbahce will be in thier to but have not got enough expierence.

Group H
Pts
1 Seville 14
2 Arsenal 9
3 Steaua 6
4 Slavia Prague 2

This one will not be exiting. Seville will come top and Arsenal second. Its a fight for UEFA for the other 2 teams.

I think most of your predictions are right, however in Groups B and G i can see a potential upset. I don't think its going to be that easy for teams like valencia and psv to go through - they have a tough challenge.

I am looking forward to real madrid's group because there will be some good matches in that. Werder Bremen and Lazio are very good sides so it will be interesting to see which of those 2 go through.

man, try to search for the same theme in the Champions League forum, not in General Football.
But I must say your predictions are well-founded Smile

I think all ur predictions are right except B, i dont think Valencia will come top of the group, Chelsea will probably nipp them in the last game and come top with Valencia coming 2nd and so on.

and also create your own theme in the Newcomewrs forum, tell us more about yourself. As I see, you didn't do that Smile

Valencia lost their first game in La Liga 0:3, Chelsea lost the game with Villa 2:0. It means both they're not in the best form this autumn and everything is possible. It makes their confrontation more interesting.

One way or another (meaning either 1st or 2nd) ManU will qualify. Saying we will finish 4th behind Dynamo and Sporting is ridiculous this early on.

Also, i'll be surprised if Rangers manage to qualify at the expense of both Lyon and Stuttgart. And i think Shakhtar might have to settle for third, because Celtic should be able to grab second place.

Sh*t. I didn't even notice he put Man U bottom of the group. I just assumed he put utd at the top.

Its ridiculous how anyone can say that. We have one of the best records for qualifying for the knockout stages.

this is a big question Wink they both are very skillful candidates on the 2nd place.

Don't know whom to support. There're 3 former Loko players in Sporting, but Dinamo is one of my fav teams. Want to go to Kiev on their match...

oh yeah, me too. It can be
Man U
Roma
Sporting
Dinamo

or smth like that, but the distance between teams in this group promises to be one of the closest.
